25 years ago I sat in a lecture theater looking at slides on DNA. Knowing the dependent relationship between amino acids and proteins and then how those proteins themselves fit into even bigger more life-dependent bio systems and on and on it became SELF-evident that what I was looking at was the most incomprehensible *program* _ever_ . Utterly stunned I _knew_ that the program itself was _informational_ in nature thus leading me to wonder what was the known source of information. That lead me to _mind_ . Mind is the _only_ thing (non-material) we are aware of that produces information (computers/AI is the product of minds). And clearly mindfulness/consciousness must hold properties of causality. This all occurred sitting in a seat in a community college ALL BEFORE I was even aware of the ID debate. Once I witnessed how vociferous the attacks were on ID proponents I _knew_ I was over a VERY important target. This alone changed my life. *THANK YOU DR. When he calls what are your Christian beliefs "unscientific" that is the problem in a nutshell. It is your Christian beliefs that are a problem to him, but he is masking his complaint in personal terms, rather than openly attacking your Christian beliefs. He is not knowledgeable enough to attempt to refute Christianity, nor can he stumble you in regards to science, so he is attacking you on a personal basis. Recently, I've come to the opinion that it is the sin (demon) of PRIDE that drives the unbeliever, especially the scoffers and mockers. Like Satan, they have become PROUD of their stance against God, yet some small flicker of doubt lingers, so they scoff and mock at Christianity, while sadly and secretly hoping to be converted, but it is PRIDE that is behind the disbelief and driving the disbelief. Satan is goading this poor man to perform what he believes is a "mission" or "assignment" to "expose" the "truth". He truly is in Satan's grip. I believe you expertly and civily refuted his claims.

As a former in-your-face-atheist I can sympathize with the all-too-soon-to-be-erstwhile Dr Ausman who hath not “…ears to hear” but can only listen to the endless maelstrom of the same old thoughts daily sapping his attention and polluting his agents of perception. Someone in this conversation is an embarrassment alright. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
@flyinghorseknuckles8 ай бұрын
It is not unusual for Dr. Ausman to call you vindictive, when all you've ever done was to put pressure on those who oppose you for the wrong reasons to simply qualify their arguments. To an atheistic liberal mind, simply seeking truth can look "vindictive". They are more accustomed to seeing conservative, rational minded persons not firing back, but just rolling over. Thank you James. You're a fine example for right-minded individuals to not give up the ship! God bless you Brother in all you do.

I think Jim is one of the most humble and gracious people I've met. I wrote him an email a while back concerning a disagreement I had with him about the Vax. I am a total nobody not a scientist or prof or anything. Contrary to the accusations being hurled Dr. Tour was very gracious and kind in his response even though I was challenging things he had said. He certainly wasn't rude or vindictive at all. It was my experience that Jim was absolutely conducting himself in a manor that was consistent with his Christian beliefs and values. Personally I find attacks in his character to be petty and disgusting and just pathetic. You can see in every video he makes that he is objective, logical and genuinely interested in the pursuit of Truth contrary to the people attacking him who only seem interested in their own personal glorification and virtue signaling. I don't always agree with everything Dr. Tour says but I respect him and I never doubt his integrity. I hope I get to meet him and shake his hand and thank him in person for all his wonderful videos.

This accuser-guy, he personifies everything that is wrong in academia. He and his ilk are the reason that people can’t “trust the science” these days. That absolute confidence he uses to speak about things he knows nothing about, we’re getting more and more used to hearing that tone. The reason people feel that science is being used to manipulate us is because we constantly hear that tone being used to lecture us about “trusting the science,” which has just become code for “trust the dogmatic assumptions of academia”. They in academia who destroyed faith ought not be confused when people reject their expectation for the public to use blind faith in them and their assumptive conclusions which are being politically commissioned, exploited, and harnessed to manipulate the masses in the same way they claimed religion used to (like opium).

It became more and more obvious that Dr. Ausman’s comments on Dr. Tour with whom he had no career intersection at all, with the exception of appearing on a published article in which Dr. Ausman erroneously identified Dr. Tour as Jim instead of his usual and commonly known first name James. He even admitted that Dr. Tour would not remember him because they only spoke with each other once for a few minutes. Yet Dr. Ausman had very eloquently and with confidence, spoke of and accused him with many seriously negative words - which if were true, would mean Dr. Tour was a pretty indecent and indeed ‘bad character’ person. Those things Dr. Ausman said about JMT were apparently all in his mind filled by exaggerated, distorted and imagined prejudices against Dr. Tour out of his grievances towards Jesus Christ and all fervently truthful Christians, one of them is Dr. Tour. He obviously was not happy with Dr. Hugh Ross either, either because Dr. Ross is such an effective witness of Jesus Christ as Savior and God, and also a very intelligent astrophysicist! It seems to me Dr.Ausman is pretty sick in his mind to have accused Dr. Tour without knowing him in any significant degree or capacity. He needs salvation like all human beings, but he is unfortunately trapped in his militant atheism. I say ‘militant’ because Dr. Ausman appears to be so sure that there is no God behind and before this seen and unseen universe for ?? reason- maybe because he perceives himself to be much more smart than most people sharing this earth with him ? He was talking so smoothly about Dr. Tour in such judgmental words and depiction that I got a sense that he felt he is both the best prosecutor, best judge and an above-all-men juror combined. How sad that a man with a PhD degree from Rice can allow his anti-God, anti-religious bias went so far to turn himself into such a vindictive chit making series of false accusation with an expression on his face as if he were the most honorable truth revealer but in fact he was doing exactly the opposite. Maybe he can plead ‘not guilty’ on account of his ‘poor memory’ trait ?
