I agree with it that parents would not allow arrange marriage but my case is different.. I'm a 23 year old guy who is living in delhi but my mom forcing me to get love marriage and on the other side my dad believe in arrange marriage and now they both are fighting on this topic and I'm watching their program with having popcorn...😀 but seriously most of girls have advantage that they will definitely get a guy who has batter standard of living than them and that's why they choose arrange marriage even if there is no love but at least they are getting a partner with batter life. And you will see there is no case that a girl who get married (in arrange marriage) with lower standard guy and this is very bad thing that girls looking for batter life by taking advantage of arrange marriage. I always think that it is good to being single rather than get married with a girl who is showing fake love in entire life... Arrange marriage is mostly preferred by those who can't find a loving partner for themselves or those who want dowry or for those girls who aren't financially independent or for those men who want a submissive wife. And definitely the divorce rate is low in arrange marriage because those who couldn't take the decison of marrying can't take the decision of divorcing also. And divorce aren't bad, it's better to live alone when things aren't well between two people, rather then fighting everyday and making things worse for children.

Eh apart from the personal issue I have with deciding someone's future for them, the only problem I have with arranged marriages is that they do cause social divides. In some cases people have married within caste in India so much that specific genetic diseases have become prevalent in those castes that Apparently doctors ask you for your caste in some states to make sure they don't kill you with a medicine that could've saved someone else! Because your genetically predespositioned to be 'allergic' to them thanks to all the in breeding. Arranged marriages often occur within caste and religion basically to similar people, this often makes it a breeding ground for genetic diseases to be passed down from generation to generation. At least that is my scientific and biological argument for love marriage 😅

The boy and girl are the products.if u want a guy with high social status, high paying job .... Blah....blah...blah... You should give higher dowry... Opposite also. Only the parents have the freedom to take decision over the couple's life. They will decide even when those couples have to share bed . Even if the relationship is not well you ppl can't divorce unless parents will force u to settle with the same person. .... As far as i see arrange marriage is a pure gambling between 2 families.
