Most people are average and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, to say she is above 7.5 means 8 and upwards which will be ridiculous. I think you're right. I personally feel that from the way they enjoy each others company, if they spend more and consistent time together, interacting, they'd definitely develop proper feelings for each other. They just can't see it right now cos it's early, and they have these predefined notions in their heads of what they believe is their "spec" so they're almost forcing themselves to refuse the chemistry between them.

I beg to differ, Not all Igbo guys who grew up in Nigeria is so "entitled" as you put it. Even though I understand the stance and yes, a good majority could be so.
