Experiencing a whole theater screaming and cheering the whole time about a movie that centers on a gay kid finding romance and his way through teen life is nothing short of amazing. What a time to be alive. Makes you feel good about the possibilities of the future. Cheers and enjoy!
P.S.
I just realised half way through the movie that the reactions inside the theatre are too gorgeous not to record hence the missing first half :)

I cried my eyes out during "You get to exhale" and my audience lost their shit during the reveal. It was truly a magical cinematic experience.

This movie has really helped. Growing up bisexual with a homophobic father has made me feel really isolated. Feeling like my attraction towards woman is completely wrong. I’ve read the book and watched the movies several times, and each time I do I get this sense that I’m home. It gives me this vibe that I’m loved and accepted and that I do belong somewhere. So thank you Simon Spier for giving me a sense of hope, for making me feel like I belong. I will becoming out to my brother, in two weeks when I go visit him #thxsimon

Ashley Mendez I completely understand how you feel! My dad’s homophobic and I’m lesbian and yet to come out... this Friday though is Wear It Purple Day and I’m going to come out to him and my mum over breakfast. I’m also terrified. But this movie gives me hope that no matter what I have friends who support me who are also more like family to me than my family sometimes. You always have people who surround you no matter what. ❤️

My father is homophobic, I don't know how my mom feels. I cried so much while watching this movie and no matter how many times I watch the movie, several scenes still make me cry. I hope in a few years, when I have my own place to live and don't have to worry so much about my home, I can come out to my mom and she'll accept me. This movie means so much to me and really, on a whole other level, helped me accept who I am. #thxsimon

Hopefully movie makers will make more big screen movies like this. Because love is love is love is love is love love is love is love is love and we don't need to see anymore Simons and Alex (see "Alex Strangelove" on Netflix. Stunning!) hiding a "Secret". Be free and find yourself some love, man! I loved his mother's (Jennifer Garner! yes!) talk to Simon. "you get to exhale...". Oh GOD! I died. You get to be more yourself than ever before. She whispers to him: "My boy" and then she kisses him on his head and walks away! So real, baby boy, so real

I saw this movie a few months ago… I went there with my two best female friends and my best male friend (who is straight btw and I'm so happy that being gay is such a normal thing for him!!). It was an extremely small cinema so there weren't that many people… We were all still LIVING that freaking movie, because it was an emotional ride for sure. In front of me there was a lesbian teen couple sitting and they were crying their eyes out, it was so adorable. Then I looked to the right and caught my straight friend crying like a baby. Then we all started to cry… It was truly beautiful. Like, that guy was so invested in the movie, he literally screamed at Martin the whole movie, it was hilarious
