With Nebraska idk what's up with the ap shells but they shatter om everything so many times .even up close on broadside light cruisers and bbs like iowa. I had to throw Robert Jojo on it because the shells shatters so much. Please try out Nebraska the ap shatters 50 percent of the time. Lol how do I shatter half my shells on a mainz 4 salvos back to back

It varies, sort of. If you manage to pull the hybrids in early access for free (incredibly u likely, but possible), you can get some “event currency” with those.. but realistically, it’s the $150 doubloons offer in the store.. then with those doubloons you,, have to gamble with random bundles as you get event currency out of each pull. On the other hand, if you wait a year you can get it for free.

The magic spotter plane is like instant "shells go where I want" button.. I see some people using Arthas, but I don't have him and honestly, not sure it matters when shells go where you aim..

@@metajerkI have used arthas, might switch after watching this. I didn’t know the plane was just double the normal accuracy. But I will say, using Arthas to do 20% extra damage on a battleship on a particularly nasty 6 torp strike, then following up with guns, all while you have extended Arthas duration, is pretty wild

I’d say it’s fine.. buuut That said, I allude in this video, that I don’t think it’s fine and that this ship needs so tuning because I think it’s going to be averaging more damage than any other LT bb including Colombo which has needed nerfed for a year.

@@metajerk Hybrids has everything they need for protection unlike carriers which are defendless They gave them good armor unless broadside dah, high hp, guns of course dah, health regen, also will to rebuild, fast ruddershift time faster than german bbs lol, the guns are very strong, great AA in power and high torp dmg like 8000 a torp with a freakin 60kts speed Why cant carriers have at least better secondary range and why their AA is trash 4.5 Oh and hybrid planes have a very high hp so hard to take them down than any other carrier planes

Man, I am so out of the "loop" - I had no idea you weren't a CC anymore. You or them? That's sad in it's own rights. It's sadder that WG put these boats for purchase behind the biggest paywall. No matter how good a ship is, it's just not worth $200 to get it. I'll wait a year to get it for nothing. By that stage, it'll have been "balanced" and I'll have a more solid handle on the aiming mechanism by then to actually be able to play it effectively. Just as an aside, is it just me, or do the front guns of the T6 Connecticut and the rear of the Louisiana look like they're French? They certainly "sound" French on the T6 - like a Strasbourg. I know they're American but the way the turret is visually configured, they look like they've been stolen from an Alsace

I may be the only one that feels like this BUUUUUT......it seems as though WG doesn't want ships in cover anymore. So I say, just make every map "ocean". What's the point of "positioning" when 3 ship types can now attack me with planes? If they're going to give out planes likes this, they have to penalize the ship when using them.....meaning: just like the CV you must manually fly the plane rendering the ships guns un-usable while their planes are in the air. Console maps are far too small for this level of planes. Or give every single ship DFAA. I bet someone at WG is trying to figure out how to get submarines with planes. No megusta.

I mean, it’s a lot less punishing now, after they changed plane mechanics. Now, no amount of planes can spot you for others. Not only that, but to my knowledge, no “hybrid” boat plane attacks can even spot anything, even for themselves. So as long as you’re not spotted by sea, you can hide from all “hybrid ship” attacks (unless they blind drop you). So far in my play, they mainly punish large battleships with lead and ships that continue to camp behind islands while spotted. Idk, to me, they’re not that bad so long as they can’t spot, even for yourself. They’re string, but also relatively easy to dodge if you know it’s coming. Plus, I feel it’s better than manual squads. Manual squads would an you could attack from ANY angle. As it stands now, they have a limited attack angle based on their positioning. So if they’re in front of you, they have a much harder time dropping a full torp salvo on your side than if they were to the side of you. I do think they could shorten those angles even more, to just make it harder to get good strikes with bad positioning. But with the spotting changes, these are pretty fine for me personally

For sure some, but I think this is also an attempt to redefine the "meta" of the game. For 5 years it was "bow tank" or "kite" for 95% of players, and these air strike ships work around that, but then the question is "well what are the air strike ships giving up for that ability?" and with the Hybrids? Sure doesn't seem like much. At least with D7P it has very low HP and weak armor, but these hybrids have good armor, very accurate guns with the special spotter plane, and the ability to drop over islands.. I will say that with the spotter changes they are at least not as oppressive as they would have been, but that said.. We will see.. How is anyone supposed to position now? I mean, I guess it's concealment, but that is also dependent on how impactful DD's are again now.. It seems this is the avenue they're headed down now, I'm not sure it's a good one. 🫡

You’re probably right in the way that these ships don’t give up anything, and actually get quite a bit of “safe damage” while getting better armor and still incredible guns. So I’m not sure how they’ll nerf these in the future, but I guess my point is that the torp mechanic isn’t too horrible to deal with. Might just be the base ship platform is too strong for them
