Passivity is also a problem. Too many players wait for somebody else to do something. There is a fine line between aggression and recklessness but too many don’t want to approach that line.

My Ohio is fully built out for secondaries to legendary 16/4 Willis. I run brawler, porcupine, second thought and running with scissors. Every once in a while I run not for nuisance and firefighter after a few he spam matches but I’ve found If I have the range I never get in position to use my secondaries. So yeah I run a 15.4km main battery range legendary BB but it reloads in 21s and secondaries every 2.5s at 10.5km before 30k 5% bonuses/5% damage buff per kill. With Willis at 16/4 running with scissors turns on at 8km so I get a nice main bonus for most of the match as long as I push. It’s just a fun way to play,

People seem to forget that in order to win we need to play as a team. DDs need to spot/cap, cruisers need to support destroyers and make enemy dds their priority. Far too often when I play dd, the radar cruiser on my flank sails off into the sunset to go hide behind an island on the other side of the map. When I play bb, the dd on my flank either sits behind an island wainting to ambush something or completely ignores the cap and goes off chasing a bb at the back of the map. When I play cruiser, my bbs immediately start reversing at the start and refuse to shoot at anything other than bow in bbs 19km away. Its really frustrating. Its really simple: if your a dd, spot and contest caps. If you're a cruiser, for the love of god, shoot at the enemy dds when you see them. If you're a bb, stop hiding, take the heat away from your cruisers and go tank some damage and frighten the enemy cruisers away. Stay away from other bbs and position to create crossfires. Too many people chasing individual damage numbers. Leaving your flank at the start of a match should come with a 50% xp reduction 😅

Do be aware destroyers aren't all meant to do the same role specifically cap aggression. Although spotting is always one of their roles

Hey spartan, I know battleships are more your thing, but it would be nice to get some examples of cruiser and destroyer gameplay that showcases where other people are falling short, and how to avoid said mistakes.

4:43 so many dds hide in the back or dont spot or thry die in 30 seconds. When i get good dd teammates i always send a thank u message for playing a dd good. This way i encourage good dd play and compliment them when they play good

I’m finding lately with carriers in match, if positioned away from you and there are only 2 of you on one side as soon as the match starts your teammate bounces to a cap with more teammates which leaves you all alone typically in a battle 3-5 on 1. Causing you to take a lot of damage or sending you back to port early. Sometimes I just have to give the cap up completely to stay afloat.

Great video showcasing the Columbo. I think just about any bb would panic at the sight of 16 15in shells flying at them.

I stick with destroyers , most battle ships sit and wait behind an island while smaller teammates get slaughtered.

Another problem is the system itself ... most players think dealing damage is everything ... DD chase a BB the whole round, cruisers hide the whole round because they only want to set fires ... BB drive backwards to the edge ...

My build is all secondaries ;) smoke really helps you push into the ranges you need and when someone is in it, they hurt…

I made a one year break from the game, level has droped down crazy. Nobody push everyone afraid to take a hit, everybody on the same side of the map, no tactics at all. Its very frustrating.

C'est un jeu de guerre, donc il faut faire en fonction du moment et de la situation.. personnellement j'adopte une stratégie agressive tout en étant très mobile et jusqu'à présent sa paye plutôt bien.. chacun est libre de jouer comme il veut, avec l'expérience, vous trouverez votre style de jeu

Can't split up when you're opponent unites and fucking blows you up in one volley. Brst advice i ayve for you guys is adapt to the environment. And use to your advantage.

Even when two destroyers are working together, don't follow each other around. Like one of you go on one side of an island, one on the other. Spot down ALL the alleys and what not. Come back together on the other side. Like a SWAT team clearing corners in a house. Ya know?

It may be more fun and good for your own stats, but the question you have to ask is whether that is more effective for the team than spotting and taking the cap. The rest of the team will be blind without two dds.

The real problem in WoW is you are right about ships needing to spread out and not group up and DD's need to do the same for scouting and on and on you can go. But most of the players are damn idiots. And what's worse is you can't say anything about it as they will chat ban you IF you insult the wrong person who then cries and whines about it (and if they spend money well there you go). I was just in some games today. One with a Kitakaze DD player, almost 1500 games, and a 34% win rate (yes 34). Another with a player in one of those B Ships, a Massachusetts I think ... with a 42% win rate and 4000+ games. And I finished the night with 7 kills in my secondary build Bismark (where our DD's died in the first 7 minutes). And we only won that as the enemy CV and DD's came at us of all things (the DD's laying smoke for the CV to try and get in torp runs faster) and once our CV planes spotted anything my secondaries had fun (two close combats with the dd's lol). The real problem is the average player is a complete and utter moron. And WG supports this with their broken MM (as they will put that 34% win player in a game vs 51% and consider that balanced). Because of that no one has any reason to really learn or improve, as you'll get occasional wins randomly due to luck on the MM.

Thank you. This is my number one grip. This game play is so unbalanced. There are times experienced players will play with 10 year olds and you get whatever comes out in the end.

Spartan, I have a question. I have decided to do some research. I took out my best ship for this. I took out gneisenau and started pushing the enemy team back to a single corner. This works out horribly for me but great for my team. Every game was a victory. I'm not recommending doing this, but it shoves the enemy team into a few coordinate grids. It only helps that they often won't reposition. What are your thoughts on this kind of play? I don't do it often, but it is pretty fun. It allows low damage, decent XP games but always is a victory.

yo spartan, i watched some guides from let um peek, other youtubers and a full "series" about guides from PC wows, but i still have a 50% winrate even tho i get aversve 70k+ damage on tier 7. Can you share some tips or how you got good in wows legends?

Probably being in a Division is the best way to win games, because you have way more impact than being a solo player

I stopped playing wow about a year ago. Destroyers running to the back of the map to “protect” aircraft carriers and battleships literally starting off going backwards at the beginning of a fight. I liked playing destroyers, but with bb’s and cruisers literally retreating for no reason, got zero support. Solution? Shrink the map significantly so that people couldn’t run backwards as much.

Carriers don’t really sit in the back like that anymore because of the fuel update. Carriers are incredibly effective now but you have to play more forward

I highly recommend you the French line, the Richelieu is for me the best T7 BB, could be the Jean Bart maybe but I haven’t got her

They should fix the silver you gain to be at least 3x the damage done, you caused 200k damage and received very little silver, and still the cost of maintaining the ship is very expensive.
