Not trading with Canada and Mexico will weaken them so much that crime and cartels' will move in. Keeping Mexico and Canada strong (which Trump is forcing them to become) will only help the US. Sovereign Wealth Funds invest government budget surpluses, which the US doesn’t have. The US runs a huge deficit year after year. We don’t have any government wealth - the opposite is true.

Trump says the "trade defecit is unfair" , and that other countries "owe" us over the trade deficit. But a trade deficit is any kind of debt ? it just means that US citizens buy more products from overseas than "overseas countries" buy from the US. the US simply doesn't provide the products they want or perhaps isn't able to compete on price so those countries buy the products elsewhere. I feel like thats "fair business" . If trump wants to fix this problem he could "invest" in US business and product research so that US companies can produce products of "higher quality" and "more affordably" so that the global community wants to buy them. You can't just bully the entire world into buying "your" cookies just beacuse you thow a tantrum and scream its not fair that everyone is buying "her" cookies and not mine... !?
