Listen with your spiritual ears friends. What exactly does this song mean by a grey area? There is no such thing as a grey area in CHRIST. You are either cold or hot (light or darkness). There is no lukewarm in CHRIST. As i was listening to this song, The LORD began to speak to me about listening with my spiritual ears. HE asked me what God was this song pointing to. Was it about the Living ,HOLY and RIGHTEOUS GOD? Or was it talking about a different God who lets us live in a grey area (lukewarm) with no accountability? Don't get me wrong, i have always been a big fan of Love &Outcome but this is just something GOD spoke to me about. Pray about it. We can sing that it's not about religion but It is about what we DO and SAY. We need to know that LIFE in CHRIST is about a HOLY , RIGHTEOUS and JUST GOD who sent HIS only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Why? The grey part is when she’s talking about people worrying about perfection. God calls us to be holy (set apart by God) but not perfect. We can’t be perfect. Grey is a mix of black and white. She didn’t say hot or cold. That’s a different subject. Black and white represent two extremes - probably sin or no sin. Everyone sins. The Bible tells us that. The grey area is not about being lukewarm, it’s resting in the fact that we are not perfect but that God loves us. Legalism deals in “black and white” but Jesus calls us away from that and into Grace. Micah 6:7-8, Matthew 22:36-40

I felt for a long time that I was somehow missing out with God or that he did not want to speak to me because I never had a huge moment where God spoke to me. It took many years but the when I finally learned that God does speak to me, and all of us, through the scriptures it changed my relationship with him drastically. I realized that God wrote to me and I just wasn't reading it. Scripture is written for all and that includes you. God knew you would be here since the beginning of time and every Bible you come in contact with he has made available his message to you. We may not always understand how or why God works in the way he does but he choose the written word to be the main way to speak to you. I encourage you to read scripture, pray that Gods opens our heart and mind to the teachings of scripture, study scripture, get into a bible study that meets regularly and discusses scripture. Be in the word of God every day. What an awesome God that has given us this chance.

Concentrate on worshipping Him and the 'rules' come naturally. The more you concentrate on something the more you move toward it. If you concentrate on the sin, trying to get it out of your life, the more it attaches itself to you. When you sweep your house clean of dirt, the dirt is now in the trash, forgotten. You don't think about it anymore. Sweep your house clean (Matthew 12:43-44) and concentrate on the 'good news' that you have replaced the dirt with. We all 'track' some dirt back in our houses occasionally, but just sweep it back out and forget it!! Confess it, turn from it, and forget it, and get back to concentrating on God in worship. Get the words of life in God's word in you by studying it. One thing I see Christians do to their detriment is continue to listen to secular music after they have been saved. BIG MISTAKE!! That is letting or 'tracking' dirt back into your house. Replace that secular, depressing, vulgar music with the 'new songs' that this generation has written for God. These songs are SO much better musically, and technically (to say nothing for the awesome messages) anyway. It took me years to realize this and to let go of my old music, but once I started listening exclusively to Christian music I have found more freedom than I have ever imagined possible. How can we sing along (and we are agreeing with the words when we do) with a song that tells us to toke on a joint or cheat on our spouse, and then turn around and expect the Holy Spirit to have power in our lives. It's like trying to serve two masters and God tells us that it is impossible to do that (Matthew 6:24). It's impossible! We will live defeated, powerless lives when we let ANY 'dirt' back in our 'houses' (including the music we listen to) when we do that. Get it out and keep it out!! It takes work, but believe me it's worth the effort and you'll never miss it! God bless.... ..
