Even if this old art makes you ''cringe'', we have to admit that those are the first steps to improve, being bad at something is the start of being good at something in the future, improving and mastering a craft. Without those drawings, we would not be here now. And you inspired many people to draw over the years!

Oh trust me as an artist myself I name my files really weird things. There’s a reason why most the time I just save image instead of save to files unless I have to. When I do though, I usually put the name of the character but if I don’t, there’s a very high likelihood I’m just going to call the file “Shmoop “

Oh, and you accidentally helped me so much with something I was struggling to find more information on! I knew it was important to learn how to draw different shapes in perspective, but I didn't know how to put into words what I wanted to learn. Then when you said "try to practice drawing different shapes in perspective" I was like "OMG, THAT'S IT! That's how I have to google it!" hahaha! It might sound stupid, but it really helped. I just googled it and I found exactly what I'd been looking for. Long story short: thank you so much! =D

The first one is adorable! You were 14! It's not super amazing, but it's simple and cute. It's still better than most art form kids that age. Also, did you draw that on that old Disney art website? Somehow I can kinda tell by the way the brushes look. Second one, the blending doesn't bother me that much. It gives me the nostalgic vibes for some reason. The third one looks beautiful! ^u^ and the look of the brushes and shading also give me nostalgic vibes. The fourth one is super cute and I can tell you put a lot of effort in it, even tho it's not perfect. The after looks even more beautiful! The 5th one, you must have been younger yet I don't think it's bad art at all. It just has more childish vibes. You're right about the eyes tho. The summer flower one is also really pretty, and I like the shading. My gosh the shading in the hair in the 7th one looks beautiful! I mean, it's not as spectacular as most professional anime art but it's still beautiful and I seen actual wallpapers and clip art that doesn't hair shading that good, some that you have to pay money for. The last one is cute but she looks a bit out of proportion. I guess if it wasn't anime art style it could work but since it is, it doesn't. However, you were younger at the time and for a 12-16 year old, it's really good art. Love the texture on the trees btw
@Gremilina2 жыл бұрын
Over time I've realized it's a lot easier to sketch and then draw the line art. After that I'll erase the sketch and color underneath the lines and then start the shading. Then I'll make sure no colors are sticking out of line and then I erase the ones that is is sticking out of the line, after that I add the line art to the "color art" (that what it call?) After that it's been a lot easier to do digital art and animation!
