Glad to see someone else who has to do things over and over again to get it right when doing a budget. I am still messing up a lot. Thanks for making it real. Makes me laugh at my own mistakes.

I love the way you walk through your whole thought process in your budget. I heard of velocity banking but I don’t think it was an option for me. I hope it works for you. 😊

Zero based budgeting that Dave, likes to do is just giving every dollar a job. And in your budget you did that as well, you gave your 50ish dollars a job in the buffer, now you have a zero based budget. You gave every dollar a place. ❤ God, with you always!

Yes, for months I was not able to breathe. Just on this budget I was able too. I can’t wait until I pay off that personal loan, and car payment. I’m so wondering should I use my income tax?! It will be about all of it but it will free up about 275 in my budget. By the time my income tax comes I will have paid off that personal loan which will free up 262. I’m going to do a poll on my community page should I use my income tax to pay off the car 🚗?

I love velocity banking...I was worried when you said you were taking sinking fund money to do it but I'm glad you cleared that up... since you are not fully following velocity banking you do have to be very mindful of spending...so yes the 301 would go to pay the apple card.. that satisfies the minimum payment needed... you pay the braces and then you absolutely have to make sure you are spending less than the budget for the variables (groceries, house, etc) to actually eat up some of the interest getting charged... I'm sure you can do it!❤

Thank you for the clarification!! I promise you I walking through this velocity with my eyes closed. I want to get out this debt so bad I can taste it!! 😂

The way I understand velocity banking, you would pay whatever amount you put aside for the credit card by the due date. You then have to wait until the statement date (closing date) to use that card as that’s the date they report to the credit bureau and it gets interest etc added. I could be wrong though. But that’s just how I understood it.

You have to make your budget work for you. So use velocity, use Dave Ramsey or create your own system. What works, will work

Good video it is always best to pay yourself first first with that emergency fund. Even if you can only put 5 or $10 in a paycheck it will add up!

I’m disabled low income, it took me the last two years to save $1000 but I did it and I do not receive welfare assistance and so far I haven’t touched a dime…. You got this.. as life be lifeing I’m doing a $1 savings right now, I did that because I set savings too high for my budget and I got discouraged fast.. now if I’m able to add more I will.. but I can’t begin to tell you how it feels to know I have a cushion and will continue to add $1 at a time without touching..but to those that are low income don’t focus on the Dave Ramsey baby step 1 of $1000 start with the first $500, because just the idea of $1000 will stress you out….and please keep a buffer in your bill account if you want to be successful… but understand your budget is your budget and you have to do what’s best for you.. now here is my opinion only .. idc how much debt I have that ain’t worth a nickel if I don’t have a savings cushion, because im going to pay debt and use all over again..

Thats not true regarding your dad's insurance. It sounds like you bought a whole life insurance policy. You can cash out (ie, get some money back😮) then go to another company for a reasonably priced burial policy. The insurance company is trying to force you to pay for an higher priced policy unnecessarily. SMH

I was waiting for your next video! The bloopers were funny. Tongue tied much. Lol! I don't know much about the Velocity Banking. It sounded confusing to me when one other KZbinr was doing it. Approach with caution, I guess. Technically, if you stay on budget with the food, toiletries, braces, and whatever else you had on that list, there would be no new debt. You'd be swapping debt. I'm not a fan of that. It appears to be a temporary solution, but I'm not sure if it really solves the problem. I'm glad you contributed to the emergency fund, gave you and Ace some fun money, and cash stuffed your sinking funds. Question: Are you sharing the budget with Ace? It's never too early to teach our young people about finances and budgeting. It will help him in the future as he becomes an adult. It will break the chains of a repeating cycle in our community. Praying for clarity, prosperity, and joy for you and your family.

Hello, I’m approaching velocity banking with cation. My goal is to be with no credit cards. This specific credit card is eating at least $124 out of my pocket every month. So slow and steady as I go. Yes, I am teaching Ace how to budget and save . I have some budgeting items saved on his Amazon Wishlist for when I get extra money. Thank you for being concerned!

I agree I think she has whole life insurance and all that extra money that is in there now they will take when her dad passes away. I pay like $33 or so a month for burial insurance. I am 66 yrs old. My life insurance is also around $33 a month but, will go up when I turn 70 yrs old. Only reason I keep life insurance is in case I pass before my husband. He could not pay the bills with his little Social Security check of $551 a month. The house payment is more than that. My life insurance right now would at least pay off the house and still have $20,000 left for whatever else he may need. I think my burial insurance is for $10,000. Don't have the information in front of me. I do have all that bundled into my home and car insurance with Farm Bureau so that makes it cheaper.
