This is a great video. I was actually surprised that you found anything even remotely liveable for £1500. I could handle the one in Croydon but not the one in Knightsbridge. I really do like Andres' flat as well but only if I was his age!! A Murphy bed would not have bothered me in my 20s but that's been many years ago for me.

Yeah definitely doable to do £1500 just not in central London! Thanks so much for watching Christian.
@danielazziptrips2 жыл бұрын
The studio at Knightsbridge was really cute but that price is definitely high for what you get in terms of size. I would definitely go for size over location! The folded bed on the last flat looks amazing and the balance on space and location is definitely great!

We lived in London about 3 years ago, in Blackheath (Zone 3). - We rented a three bed terraced house, well... two and an office really - It was about a 20-25 min train ride/stand to London Charing Cross, less for London Bridge or Waterloo - No concierge or shared gym... but you didn't need to go down 15 floors to pick-up your Deliveroo or go down an ungodly amount of stairs when the lift was broken It cost us £1,550 PCM ex-bills You can find the bargains if you sacrifice location, most people put such a high value on location though above space.

Like in most big cities. Apartments in central Sydney costs an arm and leg yet a same size apartment 30 kilometres away can be rented for half that of the CBD. it's a compromise between location, size and cost.

That was very interesting! I‘ve seen quite a bit of bandwidth during my 14 years in London. One time I was shown a “room” in a flatshare in Maida Vale. For £700 (in 2008), and it was not much more than a box 😂 As you say, location isn’t everything. To find the right balance - plus not living in a flatshare - took me 8 years.

What a great Segway to the The Google Pixel 6 Pro. Interesting choice of flat options (Wapping got my vote). The flyover is a real "feature" of Croydon.... This is back in the early 90s. But I rented out a room to mates in my 4 bed house for £40 a week/£160 a month. My house overlooked a dock in Surrey Quays. London has become New York. Or even worse. I stupidly sold my 2 bed maisonette in Blackheath (2 min walk from the heath) in 2002. I think the word is... D'OH! And I know you've had a rough time over the last year Jess. You look and sound fantastic. You're doing all the right things. I am in a very similar situation, but with kids. Listen to, and follow your heart. She knows where you're meant to be.

Croydon is looking better and better after seeing the last two apartments/flats/condos.😳🤪 You may be centrally located in London but as the old joke goes you have to step outside your apartment to change your mind in those last two places.
