最近LOVEBITESのライブ映像を見ていて、改めてミホさんのライブパフォーマンスが強烈で素晴らしかったなと思いました。前の3人から少し身を引き、決して手を抜くことのない実直で激しい演奏は見事でした。新しく選ばれるベーシストは他の4人と肩を並べなくてはいけないので、相当スキルの高い人が必要ですが、きっと素晴らしいプレイヤーが選ばれると思います。とりあえずLOVEBITESが復活して喜ばしいことです。解散したら泣いてた。

Congratulations on holding public auditions and not limiting it to only females. I wish I was good enough to do it, but, I'm not anywhere close to talented enough yet. I would like to make a suggestion though. I think MINA from the former J-Pop group GIRLFRIEND would be a fantastic fit. She's a talented multi-instrumentalist, song writer, and is a phenomenal Bassist. As always, stay happy healthy and safe. Enjoy. I'm surprised they need to do a contest to find a bass player. And even more surprised that it can be a man and not Japanese, knowing that Japan must have hundreds of top female bass players. Hence I suppose: 1) Goodbye white dresses. 2) They are looking for a bass genius or someone already known worldwide. 3) It seems to me that they will invest heavily in the international market. Personally, I prefer an all-female band, the metal world needs that. Let's see what will happen...

It seems they want someone who is really good instead of going for the maybe limited market of Japanese female metal bassists (probably either not available or not good enough?). That makes me excited for their new music because my secret wish is that it gets a little proggier. However, like you I would prefer a female bassist.

Yup. #2 is definitely the case. They’re looking for a bass superstar. So why not, in the age of the internet, cast the wides net possible and see what you catch. If an applicant has the ability, work ethic, and rock star persona to fit in then it’s a go. At the end of the day though, given that they stipulate that most of the work will be in and around the Tokyo area of Japan, the search favours local talent. So if you’re a Japanese female that can really play, looks good, and can commit. You’re likely in.

i think the idea for this is the record label/management company, to document the process and keep the name Lovebites out front, so the wording of it is a legal matter, they can't say Japanese woman only...my guess there are a few female bassist that have invites already, the front runners that goes with the open audition part, i think they have a good idea who it's going to be....logic says it will be a Japanese person, and the girls chose whoever they want...and i hope they stay all female, and Japanese. it is what makes them special, and i think they know that.

The ability too play Miho parts, the style the bassist plays, if they use a pick or a fingers(if fingers can they play with 5 fingers) if they had a metal knowledge. The chemistry between them and the group and vise versa. As well creating songs. These are I'm looking for. I hope they find someone who can do all these and play Our Captain parts with justice.

I'm happy, but it's a very complicated feeling. That's because the perfection of Lovebites and Miho so far is so high that it is quite difficult to find a bassist with the skill to reproduce the quality and melody sense. Furthermore, becoming a member of Lovebites is a great pressure ... In other words, in order to become a lovebites bassist, you need to have a fairly high level of skill, musical sense, and spiritual strength. 嬉しい反面、とても複雑な心境です。 と言うのは、今までのラブバイツとミホの完成度があまりにも高く、そのクオリティとメロディーセンスを再現できる技量のベーシストを見付けるのは相当難しいと思います。 そして更に、ラブバイツのメンバーになると言う事は、大変なプレッシャーだという事…。 つまり、ラブバイツのベーシストになる為には、技量と音楽センスと精神力が、かなりハイレベルである必要が有ります。

Fans are very Passionate and vocal about LOVEBITES So we will see. For me new bass player has really big shoes to fill in to LOVEBITES music and full time. Sorry, Hell no as a part timer like other bandsWTF. I fricken hate when bands do too many other bands in Japan friends or not. Excellent news and I think it is also a brilliant marketing move as to the any nationality choice. As I agree that speaking Japanese will be a big plus for the 5thElement, don't forget, Asami sings in English. An English speaking female addition will for sure make it even more effective with their huge international audience as I think Lovebites is even bigger overseas than in Japan itself.
