It looks as if Miyako is using drop D tuning on her Dean Icon. Playing the piano with her right hand and her finger positions on the fretboard would indicate thay she is playing power cords with her left. The piano is her main instrument havng trained as a classical pianist for twenty-seven of her thirty years and only started teaching herself to play guitar when she was eighteen. She looks very comfortable sitting at a grand piano when playing the Chopin Etude during the the Five of a Kind concert, maybe more comfortable than when she is playing the guitar and facng sn audience. Maybe. The most relaxed I have seen Miyako is in a documentsry on the Daughters of Dawn DVD where she laughs and jokes with Asami while talking about her different guitars, amplifier, pedal board etc. and on her Miyako Metal TV channel on KZbin when she was unpackng her Signature Dean Flying V guitar. In another episode on the channel she is also very relaxed while explaining the modifications she has made to her main guitar the Dean Icon and at one point talks to it and answers for the guitar in a different voice. Very cute.

At this point i dont even know what to say anymore. i was totally speechless the first time i saw her doing this Live in Battle of the East. Of course Miyako pulls out that beautiful piano run, while at the same time providing the rhythm for Midori, while both are harmonizing beautifully! The whole song is so good, the whole show was so good, the whole band is fantastic! i knew you would love this one. Thank you and stay safe!

I love your worshipping attitude of this phenomenal band. I feel the same way about LOVEBITES and also Miyako, she is my favorite, and my inspiration (I've just ordered a Dimebag Signature Dean Razorback because of Miyako's inspiration). Love your reactions to this majestic band. Proud member of The Wolf Pack since 2017, and have bought every thing they released as it was released since their first CD, I was bitten by their very first single/video Don't Bite The Dust, been running with the pack ever since.

I discovered this band a short time ago, and I've gone through almost their entire discography. I am not a musician but my ear suggests that there is no band that can compete with them. Both from the past and the present. The combination of these five is a miracle. Everything I love about metal music is played by this band to perfection. And yet I've loved bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and so on. But this one produces a musical beauty that to my ear is unmatched. For me it is the greatest metal band of all time. Not in terms of career but in terms of my feeling.

This was a live performance made in the studio. They have been doing this type of paid stream event for fans. Asami is going to perform one soon in celebration of her birthday, where she sings R & B and Soul. Its musical origin. Miyako is among the confirmed attendance. LOVEBITES IS EXCEPTIONAL 🤘🏼🐺 in all aspects. 🇧🇷 ♥ ️BITES CLAN! 🇧🇷♥️BITES CLAN!

what you mentioned in 5:59 is the old truth - whatever you do in life, no matter if you're a musician, singer, painter, sculpturer, sportsman, doesn't matter, you can be best of the best, but there's always someone in Japan who does it even better. And we can't do anything about it, all we can do is appreciate and respect their talent
@fastskipper7773 жыл бұрын
Of course, there are world renown talents everywhere. However, Japan does have a particular cultural trait that makes a vast number of highly skilled people from master craftsman to artists and whatnot. The reason is the idea of "ganbatte/ganbare" or "do your best". Just like they literally put life on the line having a great importance on sea food, they really do put their life on the line for doing the best. I really mean it. Some of them die at work place for real; it's been well documented. It's part in their genes and part from the societal pressure, in a way. It can be good or bad as you can imagine. You know, idea of groupthink and some cases of ostracism if you don't try the hardest. That's why they achieved so much even after the US bombed them to rubble during ww2. Also, people may think that Japanese are rich. Actually, the average Japanese are NOT rich. The country and the government is rich. So, individually, they have to work really hard to survive and have a decent living. More likely, Miyako comes from a good middle class home - all those years of piano lessons are NOT cheap. But, she still worked hard and is very obviously gifted.

I've been obsessed with this band since the first time I saw Shadowmaker. They are all enormous talents to start with, and together the effect isn't additive, it's exponential. On top of that, Miyako-sensei is one of those once-in-a-generation talents who changes everything. Great reaction, you expressed exactly the admiration we should all feel for this remarkable group.

Miyako is a rare talent 🙂 don't get me wrong they are all brilliant 👌 but my fave is little Haruna 💖 (all 4ft 9inches of her) she maybe small but she is a demon on the drums 🥁 💖💞💖
