Thanks again for the awesome reaction. This piece is from a studio live stream oct2020. To celebrate their 3rd anniversary, they played their first album "Awakening from Abyss"(2017) streaming it live from the studio, cause they could not play to the public due to covid restrictions. As a bonus, they played a cover from Helloween "Eagle Fly Free". It can also be found from YT and is worth reaction. This concert is also published as DVD/Blu-Ray, but unfortunately very limited edition. So it is nowadays almost impossible to get. Next perhaps more animated Lovebites on stage: "Spellbound" (from Heavy Metal Never Dies concert 2021) or "Raise Some Hell" (from Zepp Divercity, Tokyo concert 2020)

There aren’t enough hyperbole in the dictionary for my favourite band. Everything about what they do is top drawer. Lyrics, arrangement, composition, and technical prowess. Add to that their ability to write (with the help of Mao) an endless stream of masterpieces, no album fillers, the fact that they are down to earth, deeply appreciative of their fans and their support and of course they are all beautiful women. I discovered them 15 months ago and now only rarely play anything other than Lovebites. Instead of tiring of a diet of almost 50 songs I find I’m noticing more and more things about those tracks because they are so intricate and layered that it’s impossible to take in at first, second… even tenth listening. Love watching you two shrieking your delight and becoming slack-jawed with each new song. That’s gonna continue as long as you keep reacting to them, I promise you.

This band has so many good songs and even trying to rank them would be impossible, I hope they find a substitute for Miho and return in a year or so. Another thing I recently found out from listening to interviews with them is that Midori speaks best english but hardly uses it 🤔

I grew up with music of the 60’s and 70’s (no I won’t tell you my age lol) and started playing in the mid 70’s. Those main guitar riffs are so like what I was hearing, and trying to play, in the late 70’s. This song has a little bit of everything. “Mahahahusive” is now my favourite word lol.

Swan song would have been more epic, but this one also has so many layers to peel back that you can listen to many times without ever getting tired of it. This is my favorite song of theirs. I'm so frustrated though that I can't remember the two guitarist names. I have been asked many times how to describe Lovebites. Only term I can think of is Heavy Metal Opra. The talent from these all-lady bands out of Japan is insane. Nemophila, Band-Maid and Lovebites. All three bands have gifted vocalist. All 3 have very talented bassist drummers and guitarist. All three bands have multi-instrumentalist. And all 3 bands make it look insanely easy. Wish I was still living in Japan to really enjoy it.

Great reaction. A lot of reactors get hung up on Miyako's little turn playing keys and chording the guitar at the same time, but there is so much more to this song, and you guys took the time to notice it. All four of the instruments have amazing, intricate lines throughout the song. Lovebites, like Band-Maid, write for musicians.

Yes. Miyaco AKA ‘The Golden Touch’. Also, it’s funny because every time they sing the chorus ‘Burden of Time’, sounds to me like they’re saying ‘Going to Town’... which is even better hehe.

Actually, during the Chorus the harmony line is 'Don't waste your time'. The song seems to be a 'call and response' to an internal struggle between feelings of hopelessness - and an inner voice of reason. I love the message - and I particularly like this song because it shows both how good they were when they started, and how hard they have worked to raise their performance level from Good to Goddess in 4 years time.
