Miyako's stoicism is fantastic. It's mesmerizing at times, then we get little nuggets where she smiles, headbangs, maybe a twirl, or a fist bump to let us know she is a human. Watch her own YT channel, she is very charming. Seriously I would watch her make a cup of coffee at this point.

Yes Lovebites are the Metal Queens 👑. This is one of their masterpiece songs from their first full LP. I love the Gary Moore inspired first solo Miyako plays. This newer live version doesn't have CC available like an older live version but I urge you to look at the lyrics, they are deep and meaningful. GR8 reaction bro!!!!! I have to say that when Asami hits "the NOTE" in the beginning my eyes still get wet!!!! 1st time I heard it I thought my roof was leaking! But no! It was my eyes!!!! And then they leaked again during Miyako's solo!!!!! I Love ❤️ LOVEBITES!!!!! Just saw them in Dallas. LOVEBITES has to be experienced LIVE!!!! Live videos are not the same!!!!! The 3 "E" songs are their ballads, or in this case, partial ballad. (Epilogue and Empty Daydream are the others). New video to an old song , it's from the first album, Awakening From Abyss. Lyrics by Asami, music by Mao. Performance is the on the Memorial For the Warrior's Soul DVD, Sep 2023 concert. The newest video on their channel, other than this one, is the music video for "Soul Defender", 2nd single from the new EP.

Thanks Brian. The timing of your 'You just never know what you're gonna get' comment was Classic. I'm glad you noticed the composition in this one. Composed by a fellow named Mao, he's an influential Japanese keyboardist, and he has written about 30% of Lovebites' songs. Miyako has written about 45-50% of the rest.

They will perform “Edge of the World” followed seamlessly by “We the United,” which Wolfpack calls their national anthem, at their 2019 and 2020 shows. This is because the lyrics of “We the United” feel like a “continuation of the story.” It feels like the end of a long journey with them, especially since it was performed as an encore song at the 2020 concert. Very seventies this song , reminds me of in a way of Stairway to Heaven and Bohemian Rhapsody type of feel and I dare say many other epic songs from that era when people used to have more than a 3 minute attention span.

This insanely talented band can play anything especially LIVE and while they always surprise you they will NEVER disappoint. Miyako's with the classic piano training (taught the instrument entertains the crowd not the artist) makes you think this is so easy I'm bored. What she is likely doing is composing and arranging another song for the band in her head. The talent in this band is just mind blowing and it stuns each and every time they perform.

As great as this performance is, the 2020 Tokyo Zepp Diver City version sounds even better. Please check it out sometime, if just to hear MIYAKO’s amazing solo. Once again, she’s channeling Gary Moore. Also, look up the lyrics. It’s not a love song. Rather it’s about how one should live their life.

Miyako is a classically trained pianist and one of the things classical musicians are trained for as performers is to present a neutral appearance (never show the audience how hard something is). Go watch any video of a symphony orchestra, mute the music, and look at the musicians. Nothing but the most bland bored faces you will ever find. I can understand why that kind of appearance was desired and developed, as well as the tradition to maintain it, but I not sure it matches modern tastes. I think you can pull off the "never show them how hard it is" look while still showing emotions and I think that would be much more appealing. So when the mask slips and Miyako's emotions pop out it is to be treasured. Also recently Band Maid has done a collaboration with a Mexican band The Warning "Show Them" which is good. Personally I'm a fan of The Warning and I feel that they have some of the fresh and interesting feel to their music that the Japanese bands have.
