Not a band but some of my coworkers perpetually show up late to avoid doing morning chores. They think we don't know what they're up to.

Good video, and strange that you should say you hate the kind of videos that people are always talking about liking your videos and subscribing? I thought you had excessively promoted your Patron more than any other KZbinr I've ever watched, and I've watched an awful lot.

It would have been amazing to have Prince play the guitar 🎸 for Michael Jackson Dirty Diana... Forget the beef they had, just get on stage and entertain!

That guitar solo is a pure masterclass... His soloing has this "chaotic" element; it is not clean and technically amazing, but they way it is delivered is something else.

All I ever wanted to do was play gigs. I started out in a blues band my friend and I formed with another guitarist (me and my friend were both learners; me on guitar, him on bass, the other guitarist was ten years older than us (he was a steady guitarist, but strictly rhythm). We found a drummer, and in the fullness of time started getting gigs - nothing big, just pubs, but that was ok - none of us had any intention of going professional, we were just happy to be playing. That led to a 'covers' band which evolved into another one, and that one was very successful - we played a gig every week, sometimes two or three; I still have a gig list from 1991 - it shows 63 gigs (though some dates were still free, so depending on when it was printed we may have played more than that as extra gigs came in). Thirteen of those gigs were in December - not bad for a little band! We all still had our day jobs, but certainly for me at that time I was often earning more from playing than my day job - we played social clubs and working men's clubs (I don't know if you have things like that over there - one place we played was called the Dockers club, for dock workers and their families. The air was so thick with cigarette smoke at that one you almost had to cut your way through it), and they were much better payers than pubs. Weddings were better payers again. After many years that band folded due to band members moving away, and I got back to my first love - playing blues, rock & roll and R&B (what we British call R&B, anyway - look up videos of Dr Feelgood and The Pirates to fill you in on that), and I'm still playing that now. It meant going back to the pubs again for the most part, and far fewer gigs, but then I'm 45 years older than when I did my first gig so I don't mind that. I've still got a day job, but if I last until the end of the year (I don't bank on anything 😄) I can retire. Does that mean I can call myself a pro musician on any gigs after that? 😃

Quiet as kept, my dad had 2 guitars living in the hood (Gary, East Chicago) so i saw him dabble a bit. I think as a black family we might have had the only cassette of, if i remember, Metallica, 7th son of a 7th son in a 30mi radius. Lol. I experienced more musically then the average 10yr old. Much love bro, u got my sub & like.

When I quit my last band, I did it cause I simply didn’t want to do originals anymore. Nothing against them, just don’t feel it’s for me. When I told them, broke the news honestly and politely. They said it was fine, but I can tell they were a bit crushed (I know them well enough). Still, I thought it was gonna end up being a lot worse, but all’s good. I’m still friends with them, and nothing’s negatively affected my music career. If anything it’s better, I work & gig with a bunch of different bands as a drummer (professionally), and I also teach the drums. I never got into music for fame or fortune, I did it cause I love it and wanted it as a solid career (which it now is).🥁🔥

The influence was Otep. Tati started practicing growls in 2003 and practiced for 5 years before performing. There's just not a lot of trainers in that part of the world, Horlivka near Donetsk in Ukraine. Fellow traveler from Moldova, Lena of Infected Rain got training but had to work with a clean vocal trainer and try to reverse engineer growling techniques with their assistance. The other side of that is survivorship bias, for all we know there's dozens of would-be Tatianas out there who just didn't make it.

I saw a live Prince concert in Madrid (I went on purpose from Porto, Portugal to Madrid to see Prince). Old Vicente Calderón Stadium completely full. He sang and danced the song Purple Rain on top of a grand piano, with the stadium filled with the lights of cigarette lighters - Fabulous! He was the Best of the best!
