In this video we're listening to another from Lovebites. This band has really impressed us so far. Very good musicianship. We are sure they won't let us down with this one. Enjoy!

So I would like to point out that one: the studio version of this song (last song on the album clockwork immortality) fade’s out to end the album so there is no actual end to the song and two: the song that follows this song starts quickly and is a faster paced song so the transition is more fluid between the first song (ballad) and their typical fast paced song

The solo at the end is a segue into the next song, Don't Bite the Dust, which starts right after.

This is one of their most Beautiful Songs they do, and they do a lot. If you compare their older stuff you can see how much better they get. Damn near flawless now. Probably mu favorite Band currently. No bad songs at all. You can't say that about other band. Of course I have my Favorited but they are all well written and well executed. Can't beat them. With their New Bassist now they have a new album coming out this coming spring. New video for the Tittle track coming out the 24th. Can't wait. Part you my not care for right now will fade away and you'll love them too. That's usually how it works.

This is one of the 4 mega masterpieces of Ladies the next 3 are Edge Of The World, Frozen Serenade and Swan Song. The rest about 50 songs are masterpieces. In my opinion the third solo match the arrangement and underline and concludes the emotions in this piece and discharge the tensions which are delivered for several minutes of the masterpiece. In this song all is perfect: vocal, lirycs, guitars lines, bass, solos and drumming playing with intuition. 🎤🥁⭐️🎸🎸🎸🌸🤘😎🐺

Robert Fripp deliberately included concert version with "incorrectly" played notes in Starless And Bible Black. Led Zeppelin didn't even rewrite tracks with "mistakes" on studio releases. There are cranks who go to concerts with scores and are very happy when they find a mistake in the performance.

Thank you for a great, honest but very fair reaction to my favourite Lovebites performance of any of their catalogue…along with the 2021 live version of “A Frozen Serenade”. I’ve requested Epilogue sooooooo many times and nobody has responded. Until now. So I’ve chalked up my 1st 1/14th of a request for the song! As Rick says, context is everything. This was the first song of a three song encore, and literally without more than two or three seconds pause goes straight into “Don’t Bite the Dust”, which is a lively song and one of the girls favourites. Epilogue fades out the whole album “Clockwork Immortality”, staying on the dual harmonic melody the whole time, without the abrupt ending. Not only that, but Miyako, whom I thought you were a teensy bit harsh on (yes, the end of the solo isn’t note perfect but perhaps you’d like to show us how it should have been done! 😂) wrote the opening track “Addicted”, which begins with the same melody played on an acoustic, almost Spanish guitar. So please don’t draw attention to something so minor In something so exceptional.

I (Chris) don't play any instrument even close to as good as her on her worst day. I promise you. My band, which was never famous, used to poke at each other about the flubs we made onstage, that only we heard. We know what goes with our music. Our lead guitarist would riff his lead solo, but if he played a note that was off key, or struggled to grab the string properly to strike a note, we heard it. And as an engineer, it was encouraged that we hear little misses like that, in case we felt we needed to do them again. We really enjoyed the song. So, hearing Miyako not quite hit a note just makes her sound human to me. And that's what great about live performances in the modern age. Studio recordings are fixed almost 90% of the time, so the only time you hear human interaction is live.

@@GrayFox14 We think it's masterful work. Not many artists are this detailed in their work, and it's a delight to hear. We did enjoy it. But, picking out the human parts in a performance doesn't make us like it less. My (Chris) instructor in AE could hear the tiniest mistake in some of his most detailed recording work. This man recorded 100 piece orchestras. He didn't say his work was crap because of it. He chalked it up to human error. I tend to listen as an engineer, I guess.

“Epilogue” is the first metal song that Asami has ever written. Miyako admitted that despite it’s few notes it was the song that took the most takes to record her guitars for, as the slightest mistake was noticeable. It’s outro subtly includes the theme of the opening track, “Addicted” . From the album Clockwork Immortality Lyrics: Asami Music: Asami and Mao Arrangement: Mao/LoveBites

@@hanierfamily "Really talented"? Sound like British understatement to me. 😉Miyako obviously is a musical *prodigy* , masterfully learning and handling *any* instrument she gets into her hands. She started with piano at the age of *3* , made it to the professional concert level, added the guitar at the age of 18 all by herself (3 books and the instrument), got introduced to the bass guitar enough to "replace" Miho when the bass player quit, and now adds vocals and drums to her portfolio (just watch "Stand and deliver", where she can be watched drumming). That is, why I think, that "really talented" does not quite hit the point, taken your words earnestly. 😉

When Mrs H says the final guitar solo sounds detached from the rest of the song, she's correct. On the album version, the song fades out. Obviously a fade doesn't work in a live performance, so this is what they came up with rather than an abrupt ending. I think it works, but without that context I understand why first time listeners of the song might not.
@dymyavalor6135
@dymyavalor6135 Жыл бұрын
Well, that's just Mrs. H's opinion and yours. For example, I think that this Midori solo (I don't know whose idea it was, who came up with it) is a brilliant find that takes this lyrical ballad to another level of perception. This solo adds the drama so necessary for an outstanding rock piece. These are the things that make Lovebites a great band.
@PaulEMoz

@@dymyavalor6135 My opinion is that it works for the live performance, as I said. However, I've seen a number of reactors seem confused by it, and I can also understand why they might be without context. For me, Lovebites don't have a single note out of place in any songs, but I can see why people who haven't heard this song before don't quite get the ending, hence my explanation.

@@PaulEMoz The live versions come out later than the studio one, and during this time Lovebites manage to make some songs even better. I think it would be good on the studio version as well. @@GrayFox14 It's been a while since I've seen the whole show, but just off the top of my head, in "Scream For Me," Midori does a solo where she crosses her hands and doesn't hit every note she's going for. She does it better in "Battle in the East" and doesn't even go for it on "Awake Again." On "Break the Wall," for whatever reason, Miyako isn't hitting the bends during the chorus. They sound sour, like her guitar is out of tune or she isn't bending the string(s) enough. Again, she does it much better on "Five of a Kind." Heck, even on "Five of a Kind" there's a part in "Swan Song" where Miyako drops her left hand from her guitar and rolls her eyes at herself. I don't know what she did to warrant that reaction, but she wasn't pleased with whatever she did. LOVEBITES aren't divine goddesses who can do no wrong, they're imperfect human musicians who can make mistakes.

@@PaleHorseShabuShabu Is that all you could find... in order to convince yourself that ladies often make mistakes? Something very little...😀 Why did you decide that LOVEBITES should perform all the songs at the "Daughters of the Dawn" concert just like they did during "Battle in the East"? Why did you decide that in "Awake Again" they should copy all the songs exactly like in "Five of a Kind" or "Battle in the East" or "Crusaders Standing at Wacken"? Or vice versa. Etc. etc.🤔 "Holy War" during "Five of a Kind" is different from "Holy War" during "Heavy Metal Never Dies". Is this also a mistake ? 🤭 Some shows have more backing vocals from Miyako, while others have less. So what? Does that mean she's making "mistakes"? LOL🙃 Miyako took her left hand off the guitar neck for a SECOND during "Swan Song". And a "tragedy" happened ...... which, except for you, no one noticed. The fact that she "rolled her eyes" ( "realized her mistake") - is that how you interpret it? Once again, CAREFULLY look at this moment. No tragic eye-rolling! This is your FANTASY! Miho often plays bass with her right hand, and throws her left hand up at the same time as Asami, cheering the audience. This is on the video of all their concerts, not only on the released 6 official DVDs of the band! So what? Also call it "mistakes"? Sometimes Midori does this along with Miho and Asami. Are these also "mistakes"?😂

This performance was in 2019 and at that time Midori, the blonde, was slightly better with the guitar. However, now, three years later Miyako has equaled or surpassed her in ability IMO. The ending guitar solo was an extra part they added on just for the live show. It is not on the studio recording. They are all much more polished now as musicians.

I am so incredibly happy, that yet another unsung hero decided to finally step into the limelight to get our attention! 😊 My recommendation: Just write and perform this masterpiece in your own way, and sent it as "suggestion for improvements" to Lovebites or to their management. And maybe you should also just record your own super-masterly version of this song in your own studio and present it here, on your channel. 😊

In this case, you are wrong. The perfect performance for a live concert! A few words about the people who supported you in the comments.There are a small number of people who call themselves LOVEBITES fans who always, with GREAT PLEASURE, agree with ANY reactor who scolds LOVEBITES for something (playing the wrong music, wrong chord, dressed wrong, moving around the stage the wrong way, etc.) I have been watching this for about 2 years. I've already seen 3 of your reactions and I won't see a fourth. The reason is not his comments, they are quite accurate, I have also seen the flaws in this particular performance. The problem is that there are people who curiously watch reaction channels to see reactions. Look how ridiculous, yep, there are people who look for reactions in a reaction channel, it sounds crazy. There are people who are definitely not appropriate to run a channel of this type and he is one of them. He is a statue. Correct comments but with a stone face all the time. I don't like clowns or the overacted, but I don't like the other extreme either. I want a natural reaction, and if someone's natural reaction is to show zero emotion, well... Bye.

@@GrayFox14 Let me break down your idiocy. "Maybe you should stop talking bad about LOVEBITES" Please copy and paste where I've talked badly about LOVEBITES. "and stop agreeing with the reactors" If a reactor makes a good point about what they're reacting to, I'll agree with them. If they don't, I won't. Simple as that. That said, I actually don't agree with them here, but I don't feel the need to go all toxic fanboy like you and zeplica. I know that Miyako's first solo replicates the studio version, and I know Midori's solo at the end was likely added because the song fades out on Clockwork Immortality. As for one guitarist being better than the other, I don't get into that. I think the argument itself is flawed. "Or does it give you pleasure to find "imaginary shortcomings" in the band?" What a stupid question. "Daughters of the Dawn" has more objective mistakes than any of their other lives. Maybe you have to be a musician to notice. I think it's still a great show, hell I own it on Blu-ray _and_ on CD, but Miyako and Midori can't be perfect all the time. I love and adore the group, but that affection doesn't cloud my objectivity. "Maybe you should be interested in other bands if LOVEBITES doesn't suit you?" You don't get to gatekeep the fandom, nor do you tell me who to like and who not to like. No one does on either count. Attitudes like yours and like zeplica's don't help LOVEBITES, only hurt them, because if this is the reaction that reactors are going to get if they dare say what's on their mind and get blasted for it, why bother reacting to LOVEBITES and give them that free advertising if it's just going to attract people like you two?
