Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in a band called Destrose that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcribed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. She is the bassist in this video. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They will be in the US for the first time later this year. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. A new EP and a live album will be released on august 28. #RustySabita For your culture the first concert ever by them annonce their metal reference. It was in 2016 in the name of POWERSLAVES in Shibuya O-Crest in Tokyo. After this concert the always played concert as LOVEBITES. The MV of JUDGEMENT DAY (release the 6 of decembre 2022) issue the first song with their New Bassist FAMI ( she was recruted in october 2022 after a Big audition) MIHO the bassist in Holy War left the band for personal reasons in 2021, she was the co founder with Haruna on Drums in 2016.

Named after the Grammy winning song "Love Bites(So Do I) by Halestorm, lead singer Asami has performed that song , with Halestorm, at Download 2019. Miyako and Midori(blond pony Tail) are, IMO, 2 of the best guitarists today. Haruna on drums. New bassist Fami seen here. You saw original bassist Miho in Holy War. Some of their big influences are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica, and Slayer. Toured with DragonForce in 2019. 4 full albums, 3 EP's with a 4th due out Aug 28, along with the newest concert DVD. You've heard the power metal side, they also have a thrash side, and some ballads. Fprmed in 2016 by Haruna and Miho after their previous band, Destrose, broke up. Title track and first single from the 4th album, "Judgment Day" , and the 2nd single "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" both have bass intros. A 'here's our new bassist, this is what she can do' kind of intros. To hear that Thrash side, try "Break the Wall" and "Thunder Vengeance" from the Zepp DiverCity 2020 Tokyo show and "Hammer or Wrath" from the 2023 "Knockin' At Heaven's gate concerts.

Yes, these women are extraordinary skillful musicians. They’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Some people say that they’re the best metal band in decades. Others say that it’s almost a crime or that it’s unfair that there’s so much talent in just one band. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. My next suggestions are “The hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall” (all live)

Since you heard "Holy war" and this one, try "Set the word of fire" more trash-like, or if you want to hear best metal ballad try "Epilogue" with piano and acoustic + usual instruments.

LOVEBITES has not only speed and power metal. LOVEBITES has many songs of other genres: thrash, progressive, neoclassical metal. The ladies often mix different genres in one song. There are songs that have elements of symphonic metal. There are songs that include piano parts (classical music). There are several songs that are closer to hard rock. The band has about 60 original songs and musical compositions.

For example, the beginning is symphonic, then thrash metal. Or they add classical piano. Ect. @salsaucedo Funny story, I only listened to Band-maid between 2019-2022 before I finally thought I should actually check out lovebites, And Yes, I much prefer most Metal over rock-hard rock music. I was always impressed with most of what Band-Maid did in the sound most of us know as the Band-maid sound. I do agree that it's not a comparable situation, but I also think that in their own right, Band-maid does have a lot of good music that is desirable to many people, So I have taken my personal situation into account, and even though I became a much bigger Lovebites fan, I can't forget my experiences. I guess it's not really a funny story, but I ended up feeling bad about my shift in music consumption, Now I think that Band-maid and Lovebites have nothing in common except Japan and an unknown percentage of fans. So I leave the comparisons for the other bands, preferably outside of Japan. BTW, are you aware of the 50-60 accounts being used by troll accounts that prey upon us, in ever space, every channel? They literally make new accounts every month, every week. For the sole purpose of smearing Lovebites, and the fans. Everyday now I collect comments and accounts, from not just lovebites but a variety of bands. These trolls wear the skin and cloth of the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans and in the name of all of us, they abuse the live comment system of all the other bands in Japan and now even rolling quartz, leaving the most disrespectful and disgusting comments imaginable. The comments they leave, only have one purpose. Trick people into believing that these are really comments from actual fans from lovebites. Here is an example, Band-maid Maggie MV had 17 fake accounts all saying nasty things, and they ALWAYS added to their mantra, something about "lovebites rules and your band is nothing" over and over, I have 17 fake accounts on my spreadsheet, with every comment, and they left a total of 47 comments. Here is a list of all the account names: (17) Band Dung Perfectionist Misa Anti-Rhythm Asami donut Miyako Miss Perfection Starlight Princess Asami's lackey Lovebites is dominating Band Maid here. The brilliant Miyako Music Gourmet Talentless Kanami Plumbing Ensemble Saiki Crow Scream Spear of Ultramar Nicomach Ignix Nameless Warrior Miyako fish Princess Asami's lackey It's not just Band-maid they attack, they also go after Asterism, Hanabie, Hagane, Rolling Quartz, NEKi, Nemophila, FULLmoon, East of Eden. Probably more than that by now. I have already been playing around with too many Excel sheets and my own filing system just trying to keep track of all this. He even has a fake "asami Lovebites" account, he posted weird creepy stuff among many other things during lovebites MV release. It gets much worse than that. Many fake accounts, impersonating true fans of lovebites, even has accounts that act like us and imitate us. He has conversations with himself, playing different roles so he can blame it on us. Uses his fake accounts as a scapegoat and says "this must be your fake account" when it's actually his.
