Lovebites Swan Song Reaction

Miyako is a real classically trained concert pianist since age of 3. Her primary instrument is piano. Guitar is her 2nd instrument. Also, this song is not a happy song. Context is important. You missed Miyako playing Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" Etude Op 10 No. 12 right before this song which bookends the song with the outro piano piece composed by Miyako. The song sings about gallant soldiers, brave warriors, lotus flower (symbolizing pureness), battle in Valhalla and death - death of swan. Chopin's Etude came out at the time of the failed uprising in 1831 Warsaw Poland against the occupying Russia. Poland is Chopin's beloved homeland. He would never sat foot in his motherland again. So, this song composed by Miyako who loves Chopin, when you take the whole context is not a happy song. In fact, it's an ode calling for the fallen fighters.

I don't know why so many people talk about how static they look on stage, I don't see what's wrong with that. They don't pretend to be something they are not. After all, I want to see them playing live, not jumping all over the place lol. Choose without fear any song from "Five of a kind Tokyo 2020" you will not be disappointed. Thanks for another lovebites song \m/ And Remember The Ramones, they were always in the same place on stage without moving for more than 1 hour in every live show they had... they did it for 22 years

Bear in mind that the guitarists daren''t move about too much during a particularly technical piece like this. Not only does the playing require extreme concentration but they are wedded to their banks of pedals. If you watch cardefully you'll see that they are continuously putting a foot to a pedal throughout the song.

The name of the show is called 5 of a kind live in Tokyo 2020 at zepp diver city also on DVD and bluray as well as CD and ther is songs that are at the show where they are mor energetic but with these women I find they don’t need to run around on stage and show off like other bands because they know they are the real deal and it shows

That was a very technical song, if you watch the whole concert that was about the calmest they act. Trust me, they are all over the place on most of the rest of the songs. check out Holy War and Thunder Vengeance and you'll see. It's from their new DVD /Album called Five Of A Kind. which is their 2nd Live album, the other was 2019.

It has remained up in my country which normally is one of the first, for videos to be blocked. You have to remember the complexity of this song and synchronising the backing is as good as a BabyMetal live show for all the technicians and for the ladies to keep in sync. So it is little wonder in this case, they are not overly animated. I get overwhelmed by Lovebites. How can five ladies play so well and make a wall of sound? Add to which, writing songs in English, not their native tongue and Asami, singing in English plus the way the songs are structured, just outclass any similar well established power metal band or heavy metal band.

Great reaction I have the dvd of this concert and they definatley are more involved in other songs the concert was held in February 2020 the dvd is called 5 of a kind live at Zep diver city Tokyo. Some other titles from that show are the opening song with the intro called Thunder Vengance. Holy War , Raise some Hell , Dancing with the Devil , Signs of Deliverence has some insane guitar work in it also We the United, .there is not one bad song , another Dvd they have is called Daughters of the Dawn also with great live music from this band.

Miyako IS the Japanese Eddie Van Halen - she can play guitar and keyboard simultaneously. 🤘 You want to see them go at it? The Crusade Thunder Vengeance Hammer Of Wrath Break The Walls I guarantee you would not be bored if you saw them live. They even played the music to the video game Farming Simulator with DragonForce when they were on tour together here in 🇬🇧 last Winter.

Yeah, I don't quite understand the whole "why aren't they running around" thing either... you'd never see Dream Theater being particularly athletic during a show, but then I guess a lot of people don't like watching them. The next songs I recommend are: “Dancing with the devil” (classic rock and Asami vocals sound more bluesy), “Break the wall” (thrashy), Epilogue” (slower tempo with old school solos and excellent Asami’s vocals), “Empty daydream” (catchy beat and Asami’s vocals) and “Edge of the world”. All of them live from concerts “Battle of the east”, “Wacken”, “Daughters of the dawn”, “Tokyo 2020”; avoid “Bloodstuck” (bad audio)

there are so many good tracks to choose from Signs Of Deliverance, Edge Of The World, We The United, Under a Red Sky ..etc the list is endless as they say. they are also capable of doing quieter tracks as well like Epilogue but that song is on The Daughters Of The Dawn DVD from Tokyo January 2019. they have released three pro-shot DVDs all from Tokyo shows at the beginning of the Year. Battle in The East (2018) Daughters Of The Dawn (2019) and Five Of A Kind (2020) Five Of A Kind was filmed in February 2020 about a Week after Band Maid recorded Their latest Concert DVD. I imagine the plan was for both bands to start Japanese Tours in March and then head for Europe and The US by the Summer. Unfortunately, as we all know now Covid-19 totally put an end to that. I hope you can find more material before KZbin takes it down. there is a lot of videos posted by other reaction channels.

Nah, they move pretty well in a concert, I even see a clear increase compared to the older shows (which were also good), you have to watch a complete show, how much energy goes into it, they give a lot, it is sometimes very technical and they just want to play extremely precisely, the bouncing around has to be very well organized, for a band that is just getting really big, I think that's really great 😃

Their only link to Lovebites might be being Japanese and female, but one band I'd suggest taking a look at are The Let's Go's. They are a punky trio from Tokyo, who play fun and energetic old style classic punk, with hints of The Ramones, yet still sound fresh. Try "Feel Like It" which is actually an updated version of one of their old songs kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJKcaYWgpbChgZo. They aren't that well known, yet, but with their new line-up, they seem to really be kicking on. Enjoy!

They did a Live Online recently and was good. Even did PINK and Babymetal Covers during the show. Both guitar players use 7 string guitars. Have vids out doing a cover of Iron Maiden's Trooper and have another song called Oiran (another Geisha song but Skilled ones.) Members are: Vocals: Mayu (former lead singer of LIPSTICK) Guitar: SAKI (from Mary's Blood and the one who I think put this all together, very popular in Japan.) Guitar: HAZUKI (from Disqualia before it disbanded, also with LISA X) Bass: HARAGUCHI (Happy Cute Bassist formerly of the Holderns) Drums: Tamu Murata (Awesome Drummer, KZbin channel, does many colabs, oh and just had a baby earlier in the year) They just been together over a year but with the Corona Apocalypse and Tamu having her baby slowed their launch a bit. But going strong now.

Singer clearly getting her Mariah Carey on & loving it, song like Whitesnake meets Judas Priest with a smidge of zakk wylde, and showing off two fully custom guitars (tele built by her tech, but I want the burgundy & gold one ofa kind that ESP built to her specs). No they'll more influence by DragonForce and other European power metal bands but mostly DragonForce recommend you watch this video of DragonForce fury of the storm. You can't really compare 80's bands to today's bands metal has evolved a lot there are a lot of sub genres of metal.
