This is their most popular video so far and one of the more popular songs of their catalog. The working title of the song 🎧 was simply “Lovebites “. The song is about them. It encapsulates completely, lyrically and musically , what this band is about and what makes them, them. Tomorrow the band will stream on KZbin their latest Blu-Ray/DVD/live album “Heavy Metal Never Dies “, recorded in Tokyo in March for their “Ride For Vengeance 2021”tour. This song was performed. Also there are 7 songs that had never been played live before. This band encapsulates flawless perfection in everything they do. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷

LOVEBITES - When Destinies Align lyrics: It is not just some coincidence It is nothing like reality It is something very precious that not everyone can get It is like a dream, a turn of fate It is what the each of us can bring It’s a chemical reaction, only possible by these pieces Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on It is failure that has brought us here It is made of our blood and tears It is something very strong that keeps us moving on and on It is love, ambition, destiny It is why we’ve been through everything It is what becomes the reason, shining bright into tomorrow Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

Once again great reaction. I highly agree with your comment about the bands who plays/sings in English while their native tongue is not English. Personally I tend to enjoy the unique phrasing and song structure of bands like Gojira & specially LOVEBITES. Although that uniqueness sometimes turns to a double edge sword, some may find it cool & interesting like you & me but some may also find it weird & undesirable. But for me, the music that LOVEBITES do just fits my preference perfectly. Thanks for once again featuring them. Cheers! 🐺🐺🐺🐺

Well said. A am from Sweden and it so pisses me off, when americans complain about not understanding what Asami says. So fucking ignorant and self centered.

It can go off the rails. Sometimes the language difference is too much. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I have heard performers that singing in English, but don't really speak English at all, and with that the choices of phrasing can just be confusing, and not hit the mark. As someone who writes songs myself, you really learn new and interesting ways to present ideas with songs that are written by someone who is not a Native Speaker of that language. It expands your ability to uniquely express complex ideas in new, and fresh ways.
@CaptainFaceBeard3 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Not just Americans, I know Canadians, people from the UK, and other countries where English is a first language that have mentioned similar things. It makes me think of the REALLY heavy metal bands that have a vocalist that only screams. You have those people who say "I can't understand a thing they are saying, this is horrible", well have you tried paying attention to the singer, and trying to understand them, or just hearing a tiny bit and pushing it aside cuz you won't take the effort to hear what they are saying. I love that there were subtitles on this video, sometimes the difference in how a native Japanese speaker pronounces an English word it can sound a lot different, but all you have to do it prime yourself by watching videos with the lyrics and with minimal effort you will pick up the difference and be able to understand much more easily. I don't get why that is so hard.

My native tongue is not English as well, although I learned English since childhood so I'd say I'm pretty good at it, but when I had the opportunity to go to Japan & live there for a couple of years I learned Japanese as well, and boy let me tell you, English & Japanese has very few similarities to none at all. It's like day and night. That's why for a Japanese band like LOVEBITES, specially Asami ( Vocals / Lyricist ) singing all their songs in English and not messing up the lyrical structure / phrasing for each song everytime is quite a feat and I feel that most people, specially people who speaks English as their native language does not realize how hard that is to do.
@CaptainFaceBeard3 жыл бұрын
@@J-22Concepts That is quite a feat. I don't speak Japanese, but I do understand just how different the languages are from each other. It's not just English, having that happen in any language would be cool to hear.

That was really creepy.....I like my idea of the guitars just bursting into flames better! How is it that the 2 smallest members of these petite models, Haruna at 4' 9" and Asami at 4' 10" explode like nukes? You almost can't believe that that much power is coming from them. How the windows in that warehouse didn't shatter between Haruna's assault on that kit and Asami's last note is a mystery to me. BTW another M & M show clinic, don't these 2 know that so few can play like this? Honestly, I can't even keep up on my "air" guitar, how bad is that!!Love the contrast between the runway model gowns/heels and the Samurai outfits. Midori with that eye-patch is a real bada$$ and Miyako still reminds me of the silent ninja type with that glare!!! Nice one Captain as always and yes the Japanese make music a mandatory part of their education system. Their Music Schools are thus full of exceptional and gifted musicians who have been at it for a long time and piano as with Lovebites seems to be the most important instrument to start with. BTW Hal-Ca of Asterism is a wicked guitarist and she smokes it on an old Thrift Shop looking Yamaha/Pacific so keep at it, you can conquer those beasts. BTW LMAO at Zsa Zsa slap reference, just don't do it to a cop even she ended up in trouble!!!!

This is one of the videos that brought a lot of people into the Wolfpack. Second only to Shadowmaker. Oh, and it was creepier with the guys, I promise you. No one would complain if the girls do it. As for guitar skills, sorry to break it to you, but there are videos of some of these Japanese female guitarists shredding on $50 department-store specials. Just sayin'.

Shop for an Ibanez. The Japanese built ones are amazing. But even the more economical ones from Indonesia are very well made. Then you can pretend to be Hazuki from Nemophila.

Haha, thank you for the advice Ron, I didn't know that. At this moment I am thinking I will be going with a hot pink Ibanez Jemjr. I have also been looking at Kiesel Guitars, their prices are really good for the quality of the guitar. They are kinda above my price range, but you are getting all features you see on a signature series guitar for half the price, might be worth it. Both of my electrics are extreme low quality, so it's not hard to find an upgrade to them. You ROCK!! Thanks again :)

Great reaction, just one minor thing - at the beginning of the video you said you were reacting to Band Maid, not Lovebites. Yeah I stayed until the end to hear you talking about your nails and Zsa Zsa Gabor. "When Destinies Align" was the first Lovebites song I ever heard and it blew me away like no other band had ever done before. They are now my favorite band after Iron Maiden. But if they continue for five more years I could see them passing Iron Maiden too.
@CaptainFaceBeard3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I had recorded 5 reactions to J-Rock/Metal bands yesterday, in a very short time, and was rushing a bit, messed up. Was also pretty tired when editing these, and thought I might have messed that up, but then I thought "No, I doubt I would have done that" HAHA. I can completely see the comparison to Iron Maiden, and it's so cool to have a band that reminds me of them, but this is all new music I have never heard.

That is a direct result of me trying to record and edit too many videos in one day. Sorry about that. I have to show a bit of restraint I think, I tend to try to watch everything that people suggest, and I take on way too many projects at once. At least it's a mistake that you are all laughing at, and not one that I missed that would upset people. Both bands have such a great fan base, with amazingly positive attitudes, I appreciate all of you. :)
