LOVSBITES made its major debut in just half a year from the first stage, and is mainly active in Japan / UK / EU, and has already received high praise in each country. In addition, their sound source is sent to Finland and mixed by Mikko Carmilla and mastered by Mika Yussila. (Finnish engineer team who has worked on many works of Northern Europe metal bands such as NIGHTWISH, CHILDREN OF BODOM, STRATOVARIUS and AMORPHIS) Their charm is difficult to convey in the MV, so it is recommended to select the next song from "Live in Tokyo 2019-2021".

Yeah, Lovebites are pretty awesome. I've seen that you've reacted to Iron Maiden, so maybe listen to The Crusade next. It's a very Iron Maiden-esque song from Lovebites. Or you do Set the World on Fire (live). That's a crazy one. But you can't go wrong with any of their music, really.

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and is essentially their anthem. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Welcome to the best band on the planet. Lovebites formed in 2016 and in 2018 Lovebites won the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best New Band. Every song is incredible and all songs are in english. They play a variety of styles ranging from Just Metal all the way to old school Thrash Metal, so theres something for every one. When Destinies Align was an excellent choice to start with as its a song about themselves and funny you mention Dragonforce because this song was written while Lovebites was on tour with Dragonforce so yes it was inspired by Dragonforce. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. They really shine in their live performances. I recommend songs from the concerts “Wacken Open Air” (Germany, 2018), “Daughters of the dawn” (2019), “Five of a kind” (2020), “Awakening From The abyss” (studio live, 2020) and “Heavy metal never dies” (2021); avoid “Bloodstock” because audio is not good (not their fault). Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. No, no, no! Please pause it when you talk! This mistake is made by many new reactors. First of all: We can't concentrate of what you are talking, because the music is still in the same volume. Second: We can't concentrate on the music, because you are talking :-). Third (and maybe most importent) How can you react to a song when you hear only half the song while you are always talkin? OK, enough criticism - I subscribe (and hope it will get better)... Oh, and I recommend "Swan Song" (inc. Chopin Intro!) as next Lovebites song. If it should not be Lovebites I recommend "Band-Maid" - "Domination" and "Onset" will blow your mind. And don't forget "Asterism" - HAL-CA maybe even better on guitar then M&M.
