Dear charmaine, maybe you could get the Lamy safari cream ground by a nib smith, at a pen show... To an extra ef x and get it smoothed out as well x

ahhh i'm not sure if they're worth getting that done. the pens alone aren't pricy

You can buy replacement nibs and even mylar paper or micro mesh from like Goulet Pens or something and they're relatively inexpensive. Smoothing it out is pretty easy too, just have to go slow. I recommend watching videos on it. I'm not a very careful person and I've done this to 4 of my pens, one of which was a gold nib (a Sailor I bought second hand with a god awful nib, so scratchy it was tearing the paper) and only one of them I messed up, but I didn't use micro mesh for it, I used a nail file bc I'm apparently a savage beast lol. Just a suggestion!

I’m totally w you on Platinum! Easily part of my top 3. I also have the 3776 Sakura (F) and Chenonceau White (M), inked w Yama-budo and Diamine Glacier respectively. The Sakura is almost like a needlepoint but writes so smooth! 🌸 I, too, have small handwriting so the Platinums are the best. Top 1 is my Estie Botanical Garden w a journaler nib and top 2 is my Pelikan M600 Glauco Cambon w an extra fine. ✍🏻 Oh, we also have the same Safaris-down to the nibs! They’re pretty, but I don’t use them as well because they write really broad. Thanks for sharing, Charmaine! 💓
