Love this song! Mr. Mister was an American rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, active from 1982 until 1990. The band consisted of Richard Page on lead vocals and bass guitar, Steve George on keyboards/backing vocals, Pat Mastelotto on acoustic and electronic drums/percussion, and Steve Farris on guitars/backing vocals. Richard Page! He still sounds great. He's done some gigs with Ringo Starr's all-star band fairly recently. He does a version of this song with Steve Lukather from Toto playing guitar. It's amazing.

I heard that Toto tried to recruit him as their new lead singer after they fired Bobby Kimball from the band in 1984, but Richard turned them down because he wanted to remain with Mr.Mister at the time.

Saw Richard Page and the boys open up for the Tina Turner Private Dancer Tour in ‘85, they were a great band , but didn’t have many hits. always thought Richard Page would become a solo star , he was such a great singer and songwriter. Richard Page had a band before Mr. Mister called Pages (1978-1981) The band consisted of Richard Page and Steve George (Also of Mr. Mister) on vocals and keyboards and various other artists would play with them on their records. The group did not achieve commercial success and disbanded. They became much more successful & famous when they decided to form the group Mr. Mister & changed their style to play more mainstream 80's songs.

Drummer Pat Mastellotto was a member of King Crimson for years and years. He was also the drummer on the Friends TV show theme song. I saw these guys open for Heart at the San Diego arena heavily under the influence of some very strong LSD. It was a great night!

This guy worked with AL Jarreau, Andy Gibb, REO Speedwagon and Kenny Loggins. He turned down the chance to be the lead singer of Chicago and Toto in the 70s. He was a legendary party guy, who turned to clean living. He also sang back ground vocals for huge artists and bands such as Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Toto, Amy Grant, Dionne Warwick, El Debarge, etc.
