Your hair is just GORGEOUS!!! I have nowhere near as many locs as you, (about 200), I'm just 4 months in, and my reties are about 2-2 1/2 hrs. So, 500 locs in 2 hrs. is simply AMAZINGGG.🤗😉

It’s so interesting hearing about how long peoples reties take. My locticians in the UK only take 3 hours as well. Not bad at all!

I'm 18 months in - self started and self maintained. Re-tied my hair about a week ago focusing on the front and will do a full re-tie about a month from now. I take 1 day to 2 days to redo my hair and I have maybe 220 locs - wish I had more but I don't have a grid and my hair is less dense than yours. Your hair looks great. Enjoy

We’re on the same maintenance schedule. I got my locs re-tied today. I’m about 85% loc’d. I have some trouble spots at the crown and at the edges. I’m shocked at how much growth I’ve retained in the last 8 months. Such a beautiful style.

The lady worked very fast. My daughter has 250 locs and its takes me about 3 sittings to complete. Each sitting about 2 hours. My daughter is a year in but she has a lot of loose hair that I also wrap around the loc, which I think it's why it takes me so long.

Love this video, thank you!!! I’ve had my sisterlocks for 4 years, they’re about bra strap length and I’m overwhelmed😩 I love them, but man are they all over the place and heavy on wash day lol! I get reties every 6ish weeks (4 point turn) and it takes about 3 hours too. It costs about $100 each time, so Lagos prices are cheap! I’ll be in Lagos this summer for about 6 weeks and was worried I wouldn’t find a loctician - so thanks for sharing her info! Side note - I recently found your channel and I love it here! Thanks for sharing with us!

Beautiful locs! Excited to see mine mature like yours. I’m 6 weeks post microlocs install and had my first retie a couple days ago in Sugarland, Tx at Family hair braiding/ RootLocks salon. 2 locticians did my retie and it took 1 hr and cost $160. Luv luv luv my locs and kicking myself that I didn’t do it sooner. Shake and go is the best thing ever 🎉

My reties take about 2-3 hours. I have about 367 microlocs. I actually wanted a lot more but I never really had the conversation going in which I still feel a twinge of regret about every now and then. But it’s just 3 months in and I know the locs will expand and condense and since I have full hair they’ll still come out nice. I’m tempted to see if I can have Enibraids do my next retie just so I have another loctitian’s opinion but I’m not sure I’ll have cause to be in Lagos around the time I’m due for a retie. I love neat grids and no frizzy hair so I’m learning to take the opposite in stride on this journey. I’ve also realized that while there is a lot of information online, there’s also a myriad of mis or confusion information as well so I’ll learn to trust my instincts and listen to my hair and body about this while speaking with loctitians. Great great video as always. I’m tempted to journal my journey too ❤❤❤

I’m almost 4 months loc’d and I have had 3 reties. I am going to try the damp hair tip because my reties have been pretty painful. I have thinner hair and probably 300+\- locs but my reties take about 3 hours 😮. I guess my loctician is slower. I am in Canada 🇨🇦 and the cost is significantly higher out here! Ugh

Awww I’m so sorry to hear that, definitely try the water bottle trick. And maybe a painkiller before your reties should help 🫶🏾
@chynnadoll1999
@chynnadoll1999 Жыл бұрын
Be sure and let your loctician know about your pain! A loctician I follow on KZbin suggests stopping before the last pass your loctician usually does, if it is too painful for you. And, you definitely don't want to pull any follicles out, by pulling your hair too tight at your scalp!!! Best wishes on your journey!😘

Hi and thank you for these videos…I am truly inspired by your loc journey ❤. I have been natural now for 2 years wearing my hair in twists and just like you were, I’m ready for a change. I’m considering a trip to London from the USA to get my micro locs started (Lagos is too far for me right now lol). Is it possible to make an appointment with this loctitian or someone else with Enibraids in the London area to arrange an appointment? If so, could you send me contact information? Thank you in advance 😊.

Cries in pain😭 from how expensive reties are here in CT, they're like 50 pounds with today's exchange rate, my braids that I get every 2 months are not even that expensive! 💔 I mean thats expensive here if you're getting paid with the Rand. At the moment, the monthly reties are the only thing still holding me back from committing to micro locs. 🥹 Your hair looks beautiful though😍 every time I see your hair, i get so hyped up to get them😂

Awwww don’t you worry Kim, it’s always like that when there isn’t too much competition but with time as the style becomes more popular (hopefully) the prices should come down.
