It's great that you have your parents. Try popular Filipino food and dessert. Halo halo is a must try dessert in the philippines. On a different note. Christmas décor in the Philippines is at a different level. I haven't been in the philippines during the holiday in thirty seven years. Luckily i've been seeing it through youtube videos like yours.

You have to mix the halo-halo ingredients with the crushed ice and not merely eat bit by bit the ingredients. You won't be able to able to actually experience how delicious halo-halo is.
