I'm with Luenell with this one. None of these "reality" tv stars have to put in work for anything. Hollywood used to be about integrity and talent. Growing up we were taught to work hard to achieve your dreams, but now you really don't have to. Getting pregnant by a celebrity, starring on a reality show, and making sex tapes is the way to achieve instant fame. They are people out here working their asses off and these come ups are taking their spots by doing absolutely nothing for it. Morality and hard work seems to have gone with the wind. Smdh!

Shoot, it's the opposite for me. My momma always used to say "you find out who your real friends are when you have nothing". I had a decent job, apartment, car, and my so called "friends" (and family members too) used me for everything they could while I was up (rides, loans, favors, you name it). As soon as I got laid off, ran through my savings, car issues, etc., i couldn't find these people. Only a few offered me rides to the store and to wash my clothes. As a matter of fact, most of my blessings came from strangers and neighbors. Now that I am back on my feet again, I am almost afraid of success. Biggie said it best: Mo' Money, Mo Problems, and problems I don't want.

This video is lame, luenell was right! Respect the craft. It's people like ti, that make people like yung thug , and ice jj fish, rich! It's a difference between being an artist and a capitalist. NeNe is a capitalist parading as an artist. The danger of that is, when the money that should go to the artist is given to the capitalist, it kills the industry of new artist and all we're left with is phony art duplicated over and over until it is no longer profitable. Then the art gets abandoned all together and considered passe'.

5 takeaways from Ti's episode - 1) Folks love it when you're 'down' below them. They call when there's pain and discomfort in your life but dissapear when you start rising 2) Life isn't a field trip, you don't need a bunch of people along 3) Don't necessarily share your thoughts and ideas because there's a lot of 'Dream Killers' and Naysayers 4) Focus on the people who love your content and what you do because they motivate you and focusing on others takes energy away from your accomplishments 5) It's not anyone's job to say who can and can't do X (comedy) or Y (KZbin videos) so don't waste time criticizing, throwing shade and trolling others

I think Luenell's points were blown out of proportion. It seems her rant was more based on her frustration with the industry, rather than directly at Nene. Bonafide comedians slave to get a job, and often don't, but, some new reality star gets the doors open wide for them. It came across hateful, etc., but, I don't think her attack was specifically for Nene, to be honest.

+mr hollands opus We had successful cities and towns, but once most Whites saw how well we were doing burned them all down and pitted up against each other to the point they can just sit back and watch us hurt our own. I own my own handmade business and most Blacks try to pull one over me or get an attitude when I advise them on what I charge to sew, knit, or crochet them something. It's like they are not willing to pay me for my hard work, but have no problems building up these rich White companies that do sloppy jobs. I wish that in school or even now we learned how successful we were and how we helped each other and had or own businesses and shops and get back to those days, but on a more successful level and make our forefathers proud.

Ti, thanks for doing what you do. You're such a good and motivational person. I've been in situations where family and friends was happy to see me down and mad to see me happy. That made me question myself but over time, I've realized that there is nothing wrong with turning my dreams to reality. Haters won't get far and neither will someone who doesn't believe in themselves. Nene responded correctly to someone hating on her success.
@CornbreadPops8 жыл бұрын
People have to understand those are NeNe fans that are coming to her shows... She made a show for them to see her so it will do good if she is good with hopes that it will create new fans for her. Imagine if Ti had a 2,000,000 subscribers which she will one day (I claim it lol) and she said that she was hosting an event that housed 1000 people. I bet the show would sell out too. When you create a brand and develop a following people will come. That's why comics do so well. Their fans follow them which is why Lunell is still in the game today because of her fans.

I totally understand how Luenell feels. The musicians say the same thing (including Prince.) Reality Stars don't have to do shyt. They don't have a craft. All they have to do is get on television and act ratchet and then they are instantly famous. Anybody can be famous these days as long as they do some kind of video that goes viral. They don't have to work as hard as the people who really deserves recognition. I'm sorry, but I'm not really into reality shows---except for Ru Paul's Drag Race. That show is interesting and at least the contestants actually have talent. Anyway Luenell shouldn't be hypocritical like that. It's sad because I honestly don't even know who this woman is.

I am not a huge huge fan of hers, but it is a fact that she does have more Talent than the reality stars. She was doing her own thing and making her own money way before she was dating famous men. Her personality and aura was rememberable. Why don't you look up the word ratchet in the dictionary. Apparently you don't know the definition.

I really don't know? You know how sometimes you've been watching somebody for so long then it just one day dawns on you that you not subscribed. I'm just as active on her videos as a subscriber so assumed I was already subscribed. LOL

yaaaaas Ti...it's happened both ways for me... 1. when I'm down, no one comes to my aide (as if they were waiting for me to fall) but I can help & be there 4 everybody else. 2. when I finally pick myself up the phone starts ringing then it stops ringing when I read people & tell em I'm tired of their trifling gimme attitude...people act like they don't understand reciprocity. ..I love that song Friends by Mary J. Blige for every reason you just mentioned in this vid. I loved the part where you said, stop telling people your goals/dreams...I had to learn that the hard way years ago when I noticed my "flowers" were being choked by "weeds" so I became more careful where & around who I planted my seeds. love you keep doing you♡

Hey Ms.T, as an aspiring actor....excuse me, an ACTOR period. I so agree and say Amen to everything and I mean EVERYTHING you had to say. It was like all my thoughts were coming out of your mouth. I'm a woman of a certain age, who realized life is too short to live with regrets. So I decided to leave my "secure" federal job and move out here to L.A. to pursue acting. Something I'd always wanted to do, but was persuaded not to. Anyway there were a lot of "well-wishers" out there that smile to face and cried as they hugged me goodbye, that I now know couldn't wait until I was headed West to talk smack about me. But, that's ok because I'm doing this for me and as long as I'm happy that's all I need to worry about. So far I've booked two films and a National commercial and I'm still #keepingitmovin'. Love your videos and keep up the good work. Peace.

y'all missed the whole point ex: your job right you been working there for a while and its time for you to move on up the ladder, someone comes along and get promoted when you worked your ass off for this job and sacrificed everything but so end so comes along and get it all easy so it's ok to not feel a lil salty how someone can just walst in and take that from you it's cool huh I'm never saying do you get money I'm just saying what if it happened to you, you'll be saying the same thing and feeling the same way.

OMG, Lovelyti you hit that nail SQUARELY ON THE HEAD in your video! I totally know what you mean about salty people who troll others and throw shade. I have seen an ample amount of that on KZbin and Facebook and been subjected to it as well. Some Christian friends of mine gave me a great piece of advice. They said, "don't waste your pearls on swine." It gave me pause to realize the intent of what they were saying. Once I thought about it, I realized what it meant and took it to heart. I totally agree with what you said about people looking for outside approval. Ever since I was a teenager (i have been pretty free spirited my whole life), I have said, which I learned from some people, "chasing external validation is a road that leads to ruin." I enjoy your videos. I think you're great. I loved this video in particular because I found your commentary super uplifting and I thank you for that.
