From fighting for mom's milk to fighting over a prime territory, survival is a young lion cub's natural instinct. The lion cubs seem well protected by the pride, but their survival is not guaranteed. Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves on the continent It contains diverse habitats and is home to hundreds of species of animals. This abundance of animals means many predators, including Africa’s big cats.

Lioness are interesting. They are almost the deciding factor if a takeover of a pride is successful. If they get involved or not, will help decide a takeover. When the males are too old they are left behind. It is an interesting structure.
