I recently found my original Tamagotchi Connection and started playing with it again. (And he just had a baby so we're starting the second generation of my Tama! ) I told my kids about it because they saw the commercial for the new Tamagotchi On, and they want one but instead of spending that kind of money on them (they're 8 & 5) i purchased them a different [cheaper] kind of virtual pet from ebay for christmas lol. I soooo want the purple wonder garden one for myself though! Lol Love your channel and how thorough you are talking about details of these.

I’m really curious. How do you keep your tamagotchi’s without any scratches? I took my M!x to school once and I was devastated when its screen got scratched. Yours look so perfect. ;-; I’m really thinking of getting a meets.

With my M!x, I always carry it around in a little padded cosmetic bag! With the Meets, that unfortunately doesn't seem to have helped D: I noticed a couple of scratches on it the other day when I was recording a new video =/ I have seen a lot of people using different kinds of cases, but I haven't tried any yet. If I find a good way to protect them, I'll certainly let you know! XD

I wanted to leave this comment to help any1 with this issue. But firstly, personally, I haven't got any scratches on my tamagotchi mix and that's because I barely use it lol. But I also made a crochet case for it so the back of it is always safe. But like u said the front is exposed and the screen is prone to scratches. So something I've been wanting to purchase is the tamagotchi screen protectors. They're a bit pricey for something that tiny lol especially because I'm in Canada but they're definitely worth it in order to protect the screen. Just like u would for Ur phone or tablets etc. For the cover however (the area around the screen with all the decorations) there isn't really a big solution to that. The only solutions I can think of r solutions that would further ruin the tamagotchi more but ya. That's my 2 cents on that haha. Hope it helps

Ro Mini Thank you for the tip! Do you know where I can find any crochet patterns for a case? I think crocheting a cute flip in the front could help protect the screen while one isn’t using it!

There was actually 1 video here in KZbin but, you would have to know the basics of crochet to understand it and also, I had to change it/tweek it quite a bit because it wasn't perfect but it does take a few trials and errors. I have written down my exact pattern for the ones I've made so I can always go back to it so, if u do need the pattern, message/reply back and I'll definitely be more than willing to send u my pattern =) Tho, I have not tried a flip case for my Tama's BUT, that IS something I will be interested in making so as soon a I experiment and make it, I can definitely forward u the pattern for that to ♥ SO sorry for the late reply also. I didn't think any 1 would reply lol but now that I no that, I will try my best to regularly check my inbox haha thank u Hun and again I am super sorry for the late reply ~

No, as of right now, the Sanrio Mix and Meets have only been in Japanese

I'm not as huge into Sanrio as I wish I was, but I remember playing my Uncle's (now vintage basciallu lol) jungle themed Tamagotchi and I remember coparenting a bootleg Tamagotchi in elementary school so I've always loved it and I would f=def get the Sanrio one just cuz I liked Hello Kitty as a boy and it's much cuter. Also, I wish I knew more about Sanrio outside of HEllo Kitty lol

What's the difference between the fairy and the magical version?

The Fairy and Magical versions each have one different location (the Fairy one looks like a princess themed world, and the Magical one has witches and such), and a couple of special different characters. The other locations, mini games, etc. are all the same on both.

I have four Tamagotchi Mixes and one Tamagotchi On. The latter seems to be an English version of the Japanese Tamagotchi Meets. Do you know whether one can connect the two types?

Hi Paula! Yes, the On is the English version of the Meets. I currently do not own a Tamagotchi On as they are not readily available in the USA yet, so I can't answer this from experience. However, I bet it would be easy to check! Go to your On's heart/connection menu. If it gives you an option to connect with the Mix, then it should work. But... I'm guessing that option will not be there, and it will not work. Let me know what you find!

They each have their benefits! However, I do like to worn people that the Meets still has some glitches, while the Mix seems to be stable. I personally have gotten over the glitches, but they seem to really bother some people. It also depends on if there is a certain theme you like. For example, the Pastel/Easter Meets just came out in March!

Hi Bea :) Thank you for the correction! Yes, each one also has a couple of exclusive characters. I was trying to get across that the Magical and Fairy Tamagotchis have the same software/games/main locations/etc. I know there were some new Tama owners who bought both Meets versions thinking they would have different games.

Whats the difference with the mix and the gift 20th mix? Is it just a different face plate, or alot more content? And is the meets still better then the special addition mix?

Hi Autumn! Personally, I do not own the 20th Anniversary Mix, so I cannot speak from experience. I believe it has different content from the other Mix versions-- different characters, games, and some other locations. From what I've heard, you do not need to connect to other Tamas to unlock its locations, so this may be a good choice if its your first/only Tamagotchi (but I cannot confirm this, as I do not own one). Do I think the Meets will be better than this version of the Mix? In general, right now I think the Mix Tamas do run better than the Meets. I think if you want the Anniversary Mix, you should probably start watching prices, and buy soon or after Christmas! With the Anniversary Mix being out of production, I think they are going to be more difficult to find if you wait a year or so.

I love your videos! You have a genuine personality and review a product that seems to be overshadowed even though they’re absolute dolls! Have you experienced the brightness issue after visiting the tama hotel? Hopefully in the Easter version they’ll tweak it... hopefully. Or else I’ll be holding my breath and buying a presumably more expensive version for no reason 😂 also, has the startup gotten any better? It’s a shame they lag like that, I can guess it’s because of all the new features now... which personally I don’t think Bluetooth was all that needed

I have not experienced the brightness issue-- I'm hoping I will not in the future (but to be honest, I'm worried!). The startup is still very laggy =/ The more I play with both my Mix and Meets at the same time, I've noticed that the Meets lags in some other spots as well. Hi. I'm wondering if you had encountered any issue with your meets? I heard that there are issues like screen freezing forcing a reset, tamas not evolving, or suddenly resetting? I've been hesitating to buy.

Other than the lag, I thankfully have not had any other problems with my Meets. I don't think there's anything wrong with waiting to get one right now! I have been recommending the Mix to people if they don't already have a color Tama.

Hi! I watched your video and I think it was really good! I wanted to ask you if you think it is worth to buy a meets now? I was about to buy the On a few days ago, but with shipping and custom fees it was going to cost me 90€ and I had to turn down everything because it was really too much for me (I'm still a student and I don't feel like to ask for money for games, usually I buy them with money I put aside or I earned with a few little works). Still I really want one, and I was wondering if it is good now to buy a meets for around 56-58€

Hey! Thanks so much for watching and commenting; I really appreciate it :) Well, to be honest, its tough for me to say whether or not it would be worth it for you to get a Meets right now. I don't know what the future will look like; the prices could go way down later on, or Bandai may release the On in your country... no one knows what will happen XD Personally-- I really enjoy the Meets, and think that if you can get one at a price that is reasonable to you, you should get one! 60ish USD (around 56€) is the selling price for a new Meets before shipping, so I certainly wouldn't pay any more than that! Have you thought about getting a Mix? Some of the Mix prices are very reasonable. If Amazon Japan will ship to your country, you could easily get a used one for $30-40USD (26.8-35.74€, but there may be some other custom fees in addition to that for your country).

A second Meets (or even just a Mix) is needed if you want to unlock all locations! You have to connect to two different Meets or Mix. If you have one other Tama, you can connect it, reset it, and connect again to be the two "different" Tamagotchis.
