ta-ma-gotch-i I say it more tam-a-gat-chi the first A i pronounce too harshly and the O I say more as an A. I had a lot of people complaining in my tama depa video that they couldn't watch it because of my pronunciation so I wanted to make a lil disclaimer. If you look up some american commercials and then japanese you will hear the difference :) I think the way you say it, is closer to the japanese way :3 It's hard to tell through type haha

Well, the Japanese spelling is: たまごっち Lit. tamagocchi so I assume* in Japanese it is said ta ma (which both rhyme) go small space here and chi. As a kid I did always say it tamagotchi but my "ta" still rhymed with ma" then said the word got chi (like got you/chu but with an i at the end) Like you. :)

Omg TamaTown was a lost memory for me! As soon as you played that music the hours on that site all came rushing back! I grew up with Connection v2 and v3 (loved the florals) and I'm binging your videos as I gear up for my first Tamagotchi On :)

There doesn't seem to be many videos like this on KZbin where they go in depth with the functions and what you can do and comparing different versions unfortunately.

Tamagotchi Angel had predator, also. A bat would fly in and you had to tap the screen repeatedly to make it go away. Tamagotchi Ocean had USA release but the fad was dying by then and was very difficult to find. Tamagotchi "garden" was to be USA version of ForestGatchi, but got canceled. ForestGatchi is about bug life cycles and was extremely difficult to keep alive. I have a Japanese one and if you didn't keep close attentive watch, it would die very easily.

Okay so my introduction to Tamagotchi as a kid was another student in my elementary school class had one and I was so jealous. It was probably a p1/p2 but I can't remember. My younger sister got a v3 for christmas one year and I don't think my parents realized how much I had really wanted one, and assumed it was just for little kids. The first tamagotchi I owned myself was a v4, which is still one of my favorites honestly. When I was obsessed as a kid I researched all the previous releases so I knew all about the classic releases as well as the connections. In my current collection I have 11 tamas: 1 p2 1 v2 1 v3 1 v4 1 v4.5 1 uratama 2 v5 1 v6 2 4U Of the ones I have I enjoy the connections before v5 the most. I liked them better back when they were more simple. I did however really enjoy running the 4Us because they kinda went back to a more simple formula, although I dislike how they removed the teen growth stage (some of my fave characters are teens!) I might wanna get a M!X at some point though bc that's a really cool concept, and the design is so cute. I really would like to add an angelgotchi and tamagotchi ocean to my collection bc I think the classic themed ones are so cool and I love the shell designs.

I was obsessed with tamagotchis. I still have all 7. My first was the blue V4 connection. I don't play with them anymore but They were a big chunk of my childhood next to Lego, Furby, and Matchbox cars. (pokemon cards too. Oh I also have a P1 too. I always loved Tamatown. I played it so much.

The most recent one I have bought was the tama-go and I haaaated it. Great video! I'm mostly familiar with the original '90s versions, since that was my era, so this video helped me learn about some of the releases since then. :) Ocean was released in North America (I have the blue bubbles shell English one), but it didn't sell as well in the US (I think, as you say, due to the by then fading popularity of the original Tama era and also because of how difficult they are to raise), so was only available for a short time, which is why they are so rare and valuable now. They sold much longer in Japan. Side note: I love the style you having going on with the green hair and bow. Most people don't pull off green hair very well, but it actully looks very good on you. And I love those earnings!

The first Tamagotchi I had was the one that came with the Happy Meal. The one that stands out to me the most is Tamagotchi Mix. My favorite Character that I really love was Mametchi. He was so cute and I played the DS games of Tamagotchi that I enjoyed a lot when I was young. And after that I really like Lovelitchi, I first found out about her in the anime adaption of Tamagotchi.

OMG when I was 10-12 years old I was a huuuuge Tamagotchi fan! I had like 6 Tamagotchis at the same time: My V1 Tamagotchi, my 2 V4s (one was the limited gold edition), 2 V5s and one Tamagotchi Color (orange). In 2014 I bought a Tamagotchi Friends, and I was like "OMG THEY'RE BACK!! :D" I recently got my V4.5 with the design I always wanted (which I originally wanted back then instead of the gold one) and I'm thinking about getting myself a Music Star (V6) or a newer Tamagotchi.
