I was in college in 2002, in a bar, 19 years old, getting drunk on our fake ID's. I put a $10 bill in the jukebox. That got a lot of songs back then. I played Loverboy Working for the Weekend every single play of that $10. When the song came on, you could see people nodding there heads, getting into it. No one noticed the second time it played. The thrid time people started looking around getting angry. The plug was behind the machine hanging on the wall, no one could stop it. IT was a solid 45 minutes or so of Working for the Weekend, over and over. One of my life's greatest accomplishments.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Loverboy at Day on the Green in Oakland...I believe it was 1983. They were with Foreigner and a couple of other groups. What really struck me was how accurate they were live compared to their albums, versus Foreigner who sounded completely different. Foreigner was quite obviously a studio manipulated sound, whereas Loverboy was completely real. Absolutely awesome in concert, and yes, I still listen to them.

In 1981, although I was a staunch '60's and '70's Drummer in a band, I heard the song When It's Over. I ran out and bought the Album. I discovered a few other songs I liked including this one and the album didn't quite convey the energy I feel since watching this video some 40 years later! What a great band!
