I love the lighting you are using when you show clips of you applying makeup. It looks like a real person in reasonable light so me as the viewer can really see what the products can do. I am so tired of seeing these overlit faces with every product looking surreal. Thank you.

The Elf Shadow Stick in Magnetic is the BEST! Just like Shelbey said, it's very unique, kind of a metallic gray/mauve/violet color, that is extremely flattering on my face and has become my daily go-to! (For reference, I'm fair to light with neutral/neutral-cool undertones; my eyelids are very translucent w/pink/violet coming through); for less than $6, it's worth a try! Shelbey thanks so much for all of your videos this past year, your channel has been a wonderful distraction from life!

If you apply the L’Oréal serum foundation with a brush you can most definitely get a solid medium coverage. I wear it almost daily. I work in healthcare and under a mask for long hours and it stays gorgeous. Not a fussy base at all. Try stamping with a flat top kabuki on places you need to cover and it’s flawless!

My best drugstore find of the year is the ELF halo glow loose powder. I don’t know why I bought it-Elf usually breaks me out and I have never found a loose powder that doesn’t make me look like the crypt keeper. But this one is absolutely gorgeous over my Neutrogena Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer. Love it!

I love that NYX concealer! I have mature fair skin and find the "light" shade, rather than the "fair" shade, better for my cool fair complexion because of its cool undertone. It applies beautifully and smoothly, and boy does it last! Also, I love the Ulta Beauty cream shadows, "Breakdance" and "Vinyl" (a light pinky shimmery shade) are my favorites. You previously did a wonderful video on cream shadows, which are my favorites - so easy and smooth to apply, dry down beautifully, and I haven't found them to crease at all on my 60+ lids. Love your channel, and agree with your picks more than any other creator on the platform. Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄

Julep eyeshadow sticks have been a decent discovery. They are about 10-12 on Amazon. Nice creamy texture, pretty pigment. I'd love to see shelbey review these though. She's an expert at cream shadow.

I had one, the color wasn't right for me so I didn't use it too much but the quality seemed pretty decent. It's interesting to see Julep and how they've changed since the early days when I was a member of their nail polish club!

Great compilation! L'Oreal's serum foundation has also been my absolute favorite from this year! I apply it with my fingers, I don't need to set it and the skin looks and feels so nice. It's so good it feels high end. I've reccommended it to all of my friends. :)

I am also a huge fan of the Nyx Tinted Skin Veil and was heartbroken when I could no longer find it in my city (Vancouver, BC). I was just in Naples, FL at the Ulta in Coconut Point Shopping Center and they still have it. It's been months since I ran out of my last tube, and when I put the new stuff on, I was freshly amazed. I used the L'Oreal true match nude in between, and it's no contest. Skin Veil still wins with me.

I just purchased Copper Chic, Magnetic Pull and Metallic Mocha of those ELF shadow sticks. I am the same shade of the L'Oreal Tinted Serum and blue eyed so I hope the shades will be wearable for me. It took me 10+ years to find a lip liner that matched my lips--finally, I found it with Sephora's Rouge Gel Lip Liner in Crème de la Crème. Plus, it's affordable! worth giving a try if you're on the same quest!

Happy New Year Shelbey ….I would be very interested to hear what you think about the new Charlotte Tillbury, Beautiful Skin foundation…I have a drier getting older skin type, You didn’t put me wrong with the Milk Bronzer and the Daniel Sandlier Blushes … both my absolute go to’s ……the foundation I have been using for years is discontinued Skin illusion by Clarins, which is dewy and moisturising, I am nearing the end of the bottle ….and a bit lost !

I may have to try that concealer. I have always used and loved the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser, but the last year or so I have noticed it won’t stay on my inner corner where I have the most darkness.

After 2 videos I watched about Beauty Pie and using your link to find out more about the founder, I might be joining BP as I luv Bliss and Soap and Glory lines. However, I was disappointed with the E.L.F shadow sticks as they went on nicely (over eye primer) but did not last and creased on my mature eyes.

I definitely wanted to stress how much better the BP shadow sticks are but they are only available in US and UK. The elf are a bit more accessible. I get a good lasting power with them but i only own three and could see different shades varying in longevity.

Hi Shelby, I have a couple of questions regarding which type of brushes to use to blend cream Shadows. The white brushes that you use with your cream shadow... are those synthetic or non-synthetic? I thought you were supposed to use synthetic brushes with cream shadows, and I know you often use Real Techniques brushes to blend yours. But I also see you use white brushes such as your Mac 217. I recently read those used to be natural, but they are now synthetic. Just curious typically what you generally recommended for blending cream shadows? I new to the eyeshadow thing so I'm just trying to learn the correct techniques! Thank you!!
