Hello everyone! It's good to be back. I took a few weeks off after Christmas to spend time with my family and prepare for an ACL surgery our dog, Ollie will be having tomorrow (wish him luck - I'm a nervous wreck!) I've got several videos planned that I think you'll enjoy and a double post this week as a "Thank you" for hanging in there! Hope everyone is having a great new year! xo

Shelbey, even though I watch everything I don't post often. I have to tell you the one overriding thought I had was dang girl your hair is gorgeous! So long, shiny, fluffy, just the right curl and shaping! So when you said you couldn't tell if your hair looked good or if you look like a Manson cult follower, I barked a laugh and decided to leave a comment :). Be assured, whatever you are doing it is totally becoming. I imagine up or down you will be noticed in a GOOD WAY... Btw, love this video (all of them), will be trying some products...

Wish I could say that the Estée Lauder double wear sheer was a win, but it wound up patchy and oxidized in under 8 hours on my mature, normal to dry skin. Had to return after four uses. Tried the Laura Mercier Caviar sticks…but found that I preferred the Trish McEvoy and Bobbie Brown sticks are more emollient and easier to work with. Overall, love your less is more recommended looks and have fallen in love with cream products due to your channel. Think it’s lovely to see your updates on the regular. Enjoy time with your family as life passes so much quicker than you can anticipate.

Im a huge Chanel beauty fan and some of staple items is their spf 50 I wear under my favorite foundations. Some of my favorite foundations from them are Ultra Le Teint for medium to full coverage and Vital aqua Lumiere or velvet for more light to medium coverage. Another staple for me is their mascara and liquid lip duo. Not sure why but their mascara formula lasts forever. The liquid lipstick has that gloss on the other end it also lasts forever. Oh and their lipgloss for me is unmatched. Would love to see you pick up some items and try them out on your channel 🤩

You really looked great! I really liked your hair down. If my hair doesn’t look good then I don’t feel like i do either. Most of the time it does corporate. I have some of the products you listed and I do love them. The Armani was hard to find the exact shade but once I got over that I do love it. You are so right about traveling with Merit makeup. I just ordered the Kosas Concealer. I normally don’t like heavy coverage but your descriptions about how creamy it is sold me. I didn’t even use concealer until I turned 42 but I get darkness (it almost looks like a gentle bruise) on outer corner of my eyes. Hate heavy cakey looking products.

The Kaja Moon Crystal in Goddess is so pretty! I loved using it as a topper. Sadly mine got really separated and oily fairly quickly - 6 months maybe? It made me feel nervous to use on my eyes so I had to sadly declutter it. While it lasted though, super beautiful!

Btw, if you’re looking for Chanel recommendations, my top fave from them and holy grail status imo is the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint. Not sure if you’ve tried before but if not think you’ll like it. Just enough little coverage for me and great in warmer months for the cooling sensation upon application.

I didn't care for the original Double wear finding it way too heavy but really love this new sheer one. I've been trying lots of foundations, mostly newer ones bc I realized a matte finish was no longer working for me. The sheer EL was one of the first I tried & up high on my list until I tried more. Lol. Sadly tho seems the more $$ they are the more I've liked them. Lol. I'd even bought the Dior forever glow (newer one) but even just topped that. Lol. One I've been intrigued by is the Lisa Eldridge one but I'm just not into ordering foundation blind without being able to sample. So my list in order of favs is as follows: #1 N1 de Chanel, #2 Dior forever glow, #3 Nars light reflecting, #4 Armani luminous silk, #5 EL Sheer.

I'm asking bc I'm not the best at finding them but do you have a video with favorite concealers? I'm thinking I probably need fuller coverage ones? While I feel like I have my technique down, just seems I can still see my dark circles a bit? I've hear ppl rave about the Lancome teint idole, but not sure about the coverage? I've noticed alot of the gals I follow don't really seem to have too much discoloration under the eyes therefore while a particular concealer may look beautiful on them it just may not be enough for me? Btw I'm not a fan of the Tarte shape tape. I feel like it'll be difficult to find something full coverage that doesn't feel heavy?

I’d like to try the Bobbi Brown long lasting cream shadows but unsure which colours to order. I’m wanting one I can use as a base to hide some discolouration & one I could use as the transition shade. Is there much difference between shell, shore & nude beach? I am fair skinned, cool toned with brown eyes & mature wrinkly hooded eyelids. What would you suggest please?

Shore is a great neutralizer! Stone would also be a good cool tone transition or outer corner shade (I'm wearing both these shades in the video) if you want more of a brown transition then cashew or taupe would work well too.
