You just described D.E.B.S. Drool is a favorite. Girl Trash: All Night Long is also good if you like musicals, especially if you grew up crushing on Spashley. Also, The Baby Formula or Better than Chocolate. Saving Face is also a favorite. Plus, all those mentioned already. I also liked Jack and Diane, but maybe only because I love Juno Temple.

Those who complain a lot, move on. It was a good story. The acting, chemistry, and the plot were all great. If you only appreciate happy ending movies, well sorry. Some people do give more importance to friendship, some have fears and confusions, and some choose to let go.

I am so engrossed by the acting and the chemistry of these actresses. The little looks and lip bite and gestures are just so real. It's not the ending that I'm hoping for but they are both happy and its reassuring to know that you will have the love of your life and bestfriend with you to support you matter what. But i keep wishing that Sarah did something more to be with Mindy... it feels like Mindy is just waiting for Sarah to accept who she is and how she feels for Mindy. Also Mindy's mom may know what's up, or maybe not. Haha. Im gonna have my own ending for this movie in my head. Alt ending: after 3 years, Mindy and Lief will be separated. Mindy will come clean and it will not be a messy separation. All is good is Mindy and Sarah universe as it should be. Lief will find someone who can love him completely. Haha.

i love everything about this story - yess even the ending. i love the scenery, the music, the characters and the way it's filmed. i have watched so many times. i love simple movies like this, almost like their narrative based. does anyone else no any movies similar to this? it doesn't have to be lgbtq+. Edit: now that i have a seen a few more films the list goes Mountain Rest Lovesong Black Bear Our Friend The world to come White bird in a blizzard Forrest Gump sort of like folkly music, white a meandering plot that is almost non existent. usually countryside/small town based. so if anyone has more recommendations please comment them here

I'd suggest looking into more mumblecore movies if you liked this one. Lots of improvised dialogue, straightforward storylines, simple cinematography. Something like Drinking Buddies would be a good starting point, or So Yong Kim's other films.

Right? First time I saw it I felt like that wasn't the right ending but the more I watch it more convinced I am that this movie and its story is perfect. It doesn't show much interaction between them but we don't need them either, their conection it's at deeper level, unspoken love and longing so well portrayed by the actresses. Sometimes things doesn't happen the way we expected it and sometimes that's enough, it's just life.

Well, this trailer promises next to zero interesting things to happen in this movie... but Jena Malone is wonderful. Perhaps the loveliest and most intriguing face in today's American cinema. Hope Neon Demon will inspire directors to cast this actress in some interesting movies - though she have already acted in Inherent Vice, Nocturnal Animals and Batman v Superman.
