Oh my, Ray! I LOVED this video ❤️🐋🐬. I would be out on that beautiful clear water everyday if I could. What a great place. I'm sorry but I would probably have frozen to death but I would have jumped in with those wonderful dolphins. Thank you and Ann and Angie for sharing your day!!! Happy Canada Day to you 😘🎉

That was an awesome video Ray!! It looked like the Dolphins were trying to race the boat. That is some beautiful country up there. You sure had perfect weather for boating. It's in the 90s here so don't even want to leave the house.

Yeah, this is a good spot to spend the summer! Dolphins often like to ride the bow wave of the boat. It's amazing how fast and agile they are. These ones seemed to be having a fun time.

Your boating trip reminded me of Red Cliff/Bayfield, WI and the Apostle Islands. Legendary Waters Resort & Casino has an RV park and boating area. Great place but no whales or dolphin but you can get some big fish there if your into that. But your trip was very cool.

Summer 2011 we stayed at the campground there. Didn't take the boat cruise though. We did take one at Pictured Rocks National Seashore. :)

Fantastic video the scenery was breathtaking. Not a boater, for a busy weekend like Canada Day when you tie up at a dock, like Gorge Harbour do you have to have a reservation? Do you pay for the privilege of tying up to the dock?
@LoveYourRV7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Likely reservations are needed for the busy summer long weekends. We were able to dock at the dingy dock for free just to take a quick look around. Here is their rates page. - gorgeharbour.com/rates/ Not cheap but I guess it is a resort. ;)

What's the boondocking situation like along the BC coast there in Canada or all BC for that matter? Might be looking to retracing a favorite summer trip when I was a youngster, some of that around the Kamloops area.
@LoveYourRV7 жыл бұрын
The coast is quite mountainous so flat land is at a premium, real estate is fairly expensive. Not many free boondocking locations are available like in the southwest. If you have a smaller rig the prospects are much better. There are lots of forestry lands around with camping and boondocking down logging roads. We used to have a camper van and camped all over the backcountry of Vancouver Island with it. However, due to the trees and rougher narrow roads, a larger RV is a no go in most areas. The best boondocking is done on the water with a boat. One day we hope to buy a larger liveaboard craft and tour the coast during summers.

Hi Ray, I lost which video of yours shows which 2 of the 7 prong plug to place the fuse in so marker lights go on while boondocking. Id try them all but dont want to blow anything and forgot which amp size fuse to use. Does it say how many amp the fuse should be? I've got 194 t10 size regular bulbs which are very short, have to be due to the lens cover. Are there any on Amazon that you know of in LED form that would replace nicely? Is it fine to leave that fuse in the 7pin plug overnight? I tried it once and the fuse was so loose I'd use a little electrical tape to hold better. I also heard there may be some issues with replacing regular running light bulbs with the LEDs. I think when we do this 7pin fuse trick only the marker lights come on but I'm not sure. Thx v much
@LoveYourRV7 жыл бұрын
Its pin 3 - 4 see diagram - metroecho.info/wp-content/uploads/wiring-diagram-7-pin-trailer-socket-zen-diagram-3-800x542.png Either side of the key tab. Try a search on Amazon for "194 marker lights" I used to use a 10 amp fuse but now with LED marker lamps, I use a 5 amp. Should be fine to leave them on just like if you were on a long trip driving. Of course, if you aren't plugged into shore power you'll wear down the batteries.

Love Your RV Oh wowww!! That's a v nice diagram. Thank you very much Ray!!!, beautiful. , either side of key tab makes it clear to me. thx thx But now which is hot wire? I'm trying to install observation camera with red hot and black ground, but the top center marker light has 2 black wires. Will a 6- 12 volt multipurpose AC curcuit tester ( looks like a pointy screwdriver) help? I probably need a voltmeter? Ok, I think I'm set. I found lots of KZbin videos about this matter. thx again

Have you been to Robson Bight to see the killer whales?
@LoveYourRV7 жыл бұрын
Robson Bight is a protected area so we haven't but we see the killer whales all over the place. We occasionally see them traveling just off the RV park through the passage. We heard on the radio yesterday some transient Orca were feeding on sea lions in the area. Lots of marine life up here. :) Anne used to have her boat down in Sidney BC and there are a few pods that are resident down there.

It scares me how close they get to the boat motor, but I guess they know what they're doing!
@LoveYourRV7 жыл бұрын
Some people believe dolphins are more intelligent than humans. They like to follow boats around playing in the wake. We try to stay the recommended 100 meters away for viewing but they don't read the rules and race over to us. :)
