Man, when I started out the first subs I bought were Pyramid Phase III, the clear cones, they were cheap and at a flea market, but they were cool. It's all my brother, cousin and I could afford back in the day. Pyramid, Hollywood, Mohawk... It took a few years to get some Kickers, Orion, Lanzar, Cerwin-Vega. And you know what, we were happy with the bass. People now should be happy with Boss or Sundown or Skar or some flea market no brand. To me, when people in car audio become too much of a fan boy and defend their brand and say every other brand sucks it's because they don't want to feel like they made a bad decision, it's their own insecurities that cause them to put down everyone else. Don't get me wrong, some brands are better than others, and usually that's what you pay for. But some people either don't have the money to pay for more expensive equipment, or have other priorities than spending everything on car audio, they get just enough to be happy. Other people spend every dime on car audio and that makes them happy too.

All this BS about sundown and FI etc. at the end of the day Sundown has become boring EVERYBODY has sundown I go to a show and literally skip 99% of the sundown builds because if you have heard one you heard them all don't get me wrong they make good subs but I remember when I was a kid my dad used to tell me "just because everyone else is doing doesn't mean you have to" and I don't so many people have sundown I literally wouldn't run sundown equipment if they gave me an entire free build sorry I just wouldn't I personally went with Incriminator audio and ds-18 mids and highs just to have something different at the show I was at sundown with you and I was literally the only IA Sub at the show and that made me happy 😁 I want to be the oddball with the nasty IA build shutting down other builds my size I don't want to be one of 200 people at the show with the same sub and amps as everyone else that's boring and everybody passes up your build unless you have so much equipment it catches their eyes and that makes it really hard for anyone on a budget to go to the show and demo and have fun because nobody will sit in your build and check out your hard work and for reasons like that I will never run sundown equipment to mainstream for me and not enough room for the little guy any more and their are some really really great brands out there that put sundown to shame like Incriminator and FI and to be honest after this whole chris lee thing and Sundown knowing about it and choosing not to say anything about it for personal profit i will never and I mean never purchase anything Sundown Jacob Fuller really messed up with that play he'll he might as well post an add saying kid diddlers welcome as long as your bringing in money LoL 😆
