Homosexuality was rarely looked down upon, at least in most western cultures, until Christianity was introduced. I mean, from what we have gathered, it seems almost all Scandinavian people's were fine with it, it was normal in Rome, and bisexuality was actually encouraged in most of Greece (just look at Athens and Sparta).

@@condorX2 That too. But the Israelites needed lots of warriors to kill other tribespeople...as recorded. Back then, about 50% of children died before reaching adulthood. Also a lot of women died in childbirth. So, if you lost more soldiers than you raised, you had problems. I suspect that's what the prohibition against gayness, which is kind of common in some middle eastern cultures? was about, you weren't being _patriotic._

I feel like people who think being LGBTQ+ is a modern phenomenon should really think about why Abrahamic religions, in particular, strongly condemned these individuals. Its not that it was a rare occurrence. Its more than likely that it was very common, or at least common enough that they had to highlight it as being a "sin." I'm glad that fellow human beings are no longer ashamed of the gender or way in which they love. I'm Hindu and learned growing up that nothing happens without God's will and God itself is both masculine and feminine energy and not a specific physical gender in the way we like to label things. To think the power (if you believe in one) that created everything would turn around and hate its creation is ridiculous to me. People who hate on LGBTQ+ individuals in the name of religion are just highlighting that they don't believe what they believe in is as powerful as they say! I wish more people could just let humans express their authentic selves instead of projecting their insecurity onto others. Hope we see this growing authenticity in the years to come. 🙏❤

Spend some time doing things you love doing to meet more people who love things you love. Online dating apps encourage shallow responses, like he's not my ideal boy... Getting to know real people leads you to a wider circle of friends and people you enjoy spending time with until you meet the person that definitely isn't your ideal visual match, but is the right one by the content of their heart and your own.
