I think these stories are important because we get a peak into the lives of these artists and how Jesus met them in their darkest moments. Not only through salvation but during their sanctification process. Christian artists are human too, facing the same temptations we all face and this is a God glorifying reminder of that. Thanks for sharing

Wow- the best thing you can do for someone who is drowning is to get in there and swim with them. 😭✝️ Such a beautiful testimony of walking out healing with someone. Being an extension of the heart of the Father

“The thing that was sitting in the driver’s seat of my life was me.” I think that “me” sin is the worst sin of all. It was what took Lucifer down. And yes every second of every day, I battle it. The stubbornness of wasting energy and time on perfectionism and judging using my filthy self righteous rags as a measuring stick. Thank you for sharing Logan.

I am a former addict and the best book ever written was/is the Bible. And another book that helped me tremendously is As A Man Thinketh. If you are still struggling with any addiction check out this book and see what happens. Love you ALL!

Thank you for sharing all of these stories by all these artists. I don't "follow" any one artist, I follow Jesus. I am not a "fan" (look up the definition), I am an admirer. I was lucky enough to see Tasha and Josh back in February, it was such a wonderful experience. God bless each and every one at Joy FM.

It (the church) was all I did, too. But I LIVE to see people like Emily helped. I know Jesus loves her. Because I have never met her, and yet I’ve listened to her testimony and fallen, hard. The only word I know to describe Emily is precious. I love the song, and only God arranges ticket seats. But most of all God’s got this. Thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing.

I hear you but sometimes in Christianity the forgiveness and live as Jesus lives hit the wrong ones bc deeper issues are our co dependency, enabling, controlling etc. That really are things we need to work on

I have 2 adult children that are in addiction, middle son 19 years, my youngest & only daughter 6 years, thanks to God's grace I've built my life on Jesus, my solid rock, I'm say this to tell you it's the only reason I've survived through this, still no relationship, but standing on God's promises for restoration 💜📖🙏🏼⚔️

6 years-do you mean 16? Praying for you and your family. I hope you are getting help through Al-Anon or whichever 12 step group would be appropriate. I went to 1 of the 12 step groups to learn about boundaries and how not to enable and had to, when my husband relapsed, put what I learned into practice. Had I continued enabling him, who knows, he may have never made it back into sobriety...NOT taking the credit for that at all because he and God are the ones who brought him back; just saying thank God I was no longer contributing to his using.

It's a beautiful thought to get in there with them but many times they don't allow it, I have no idea where they are, so I'm totally dependant on my savior to restore their hearts, their bodies, their minds, draw them towards your light Jesus, that is where their healing is🙏🏼

I would love to see that too. Has she given her testimony or both of them together? Having been on both sides of this struggle, I would love to hear his wife tell her story as well, but I appreciated him recognizing addiction is not a solo journey; family members and other loved ones need education and support on how to not aid and abet the disease to continue too. I needed groups like Al-anon & codependency recovery (as well as AA). One day at a time, recovery is most certainly possible. By God’s Grace I’m coming up on 32 years sober - and alcohol didn’t just “go away” after I surrendered my heart to Jesus either. It took a few tries in recovery. Keep walking in faith, Logan! Praying for y’all ♥️.

What if they never find Jesus, in the Bible it says not to yolk with a non believer. I went through this and had to give up the relationship because I believed and he would not. He would not 😢 still don't and is still struggling with addiction

Alcohol addiction or any substance addiction is not a disease. It’s the sin of idolatry to which that substance is that person’s god. To any person reading this struggling with addiction I suggest reading the book “Addictions, A Banquet in the Grave. Finding hope in the power of the Gospel” by Edward Welch. When Jesus changes the heart of the person, that person’s will, desires and wants are changed. Thank You Jesus!

The Bible doesn't call alcoholism a "disease." A disease is something over which you have no choice; it's something that afflicts you, but to drink or not is a moral choice. Jesus said if we're eating and drinking with drunkards when He returns He will cut us into pieces and assign us a place with the hypocrites. He never spoke of "healing" an alcoholic but rather calls us to repent. And less anyone accuses me of being holier than thou and self-righteous, I've had my OWN struggles with alcohol and drugs too. But I would never call my sins a disease like the lupus that also ravages my body. I had no choice with lupus but I DO have a choice with alcohol and drugs.😂

Please Help me I Believe Jesus Is The Son of God and God The Son of The Holy Trinity I Believe Jesus Shed His Blood and Died in my place to Pay for All my Sins He Was Buried Then 3 Days Later Jesus Arose From The Dead!!! But I am struggling with some Sins that I honestly don’t know how to quit I hate my Sins But I genuinely don’t know how to stop them Am I still Saved because of my faith in Jesus or is there something more I need to do? Thank you for All your Help and Time God Bless you

It is my understanding that we are to come to the Lord "Come as You Are" and through your walk you will begin to clean up the thorns in your side. Keep pressing forward and ask the Lord to reveal to you what you need to do to complete this task of ridding your life of these unwanted but annoying sins. Be Diligent and I believe he will reveal it to you. ❤

That's interesting.... it's sort if sad bc maybe he wants healing more than she does. We always talk ourself into things we know arent good bc we need healing. He may need to talk about his own healing and why he may be making these decisions. The signs were glaring and seems like he just wanted to fix her
@ladyj5682
@ladyj5682 Жыл бұрын
@@Sophie-UMCIf you can't tell your own story then it shouldn't be told bc it's not your version but the person telling it. He could have set with her but something is missing here and an addiction counselor is the best to respond to the dynamics of addictions and relationships. Shy is no excuse, he could be an enabler....I know bc I make some excuses for people too bc sometimes the truth is hard to accept or the truth we perceive
