I have found they do think life is automatically done for them by God. I have seen many of them investing money without caring about understanding investment. To them God will make everything work. This movie is an eye-opener, sad to say this was my exact life experience and all what my husband was concerned about was what the church will say. It was so fustratating for me because he never thinks what he is doing is wrong and we ended up separated and I have moved to a new town and start my life for 4 years now. Honestly this movie is one of a kind. A lot of lessons here for married couples and everyone dealing with childhood traumas. This is not just for Christians. Most adults do not know how to show emotions and affections due to the environment they were raised. It takes a conscious effort to unlearn and relearn how you and your partner want to be loved. Some men see expressing emotions/affection as a weakness but it’s not. It helps your partner feel wanted and blossom. I say this from experience as my hubby was not into PDA (private/public Display of Affection) and I didn’t see my parents do that. It took a conscious effort from me to initiate what I wanted (random hugs, kisses, sexy winks when passing 😂). He was quite shy at first but we are constantly a work in progress. Funny thing is that my first son (we have all boys) sees how emosh we are with each other and tells me ‘mummy I will care for my wife’. I will cook for her and buy things for her (these are some of the things he sees his dad do and vice versa. Children are watching and if we don’t intentionally correct the issues, it becomes a band wagon effect that unconsciously affects the next generation. In all, let’s do better.
