I'm clipped in and I feel so much more comfortable than when I'm not clipped in. I can clip out smoother and faster than if I'm on flats. Flats my soul tends to feel stuck or at the wrong time my foot slides off the pedal. We all get used to our likes and that's what we stick with. Nice ride... Love the Luge!

rarely do i get a locked in feeling on my pedals, i noticed that with round pins, it feels better. Never thought about longer ones, i'll try that. congratulations on, 8,000 subscribers in 1 year!
@GabeGarcia11 ай бұрын
Yeah I’ve noticed a big difference. It’s crazy because the pins are only slightly longer but it helps my feet stay in place. Give it a try and see if you like it 🙌😁 thank you my dude! Appreciate your support 👊💯

How stiff is the frame? Heard they possibly soften up the frame on the 2022 model

If you do crash 99% of the time you will unclip naturally it's only on the slow crashes you might stay clipped in, but those ain't nothing. After a handful of rides it starts becoming 2nd nature. I ride clips on my gravel and my hardtail, and flats on the full squish. I use the crankcrother easy release cleats
@GabeGarcia11 ай бұрын
That makes sense, after a certain amount of time I’m sure you get the hang of the clipless setup 👀, and you get the benefit of the climbs as well
@raiderhuge11 ай бұрын
@@GabeGarcia oh yea for sure let’s you pull up. Also in the chunk you don’t have to think about your feet slippin or getting bucked off. But like you mentioned too upgrading the pin helps major. I just put bigger pins in my new pedals already feels better

AGREED! My whole bike can be dialed but if my pedals feel janky and worn it's gonna change the entire ride feel for me. While also causing me to feel not as confident about my bikes. I ride same peddals on all of my bikes as well as cockpit setup is all the same with exception of one of my dirt jumpers , and my Commencial FRS obviously has the downhill forks and the team build Ohlins. while everything is still title on the cockpit is the only one that is a bit different since it has the downhill frolnt forks. lastly i bought a Divinci Sabboth thought about keeping it as a team spec but shanked a shin on a slipped pedal and immediately made a order and when the order arrived it felt just as solid as my shonky or my stitched 720 and feels just vas solid as my commencial meta sx v5. so completely understand while having no immediate plans to switch away from my current

Consistency throughout all bikes! I love it 👊😁

Hey Gabriel, I've been riding clips for many years, the Mallet E's most recently, and one thing I've found is that I'm automatically ejected from the clips during a crash, except in slow-speed tip-overs where my foot got stuck. 😅 I think that only happens with new pedals or cleats, though. I totally get not wanting to be locked in, it's definitely a personal preference. 🤜
@GabeGarcia11 ай бұрын
Interesting, I would think it would be harder to get your foot off the pedal when going fast but I 100% believe you since other people have said the same thing 😭

Cheers thank you! I prefer commencal over any other brand just from personal experience. Their bikes always seem to feel good for me. I used to have a San Quentin Hardtail and I got rid of it for the Meta HT/AM. But if you can I would test them out just to see what your preference is 🙏👊

When I see it that way, a hardtail is quite enough

i iunderstand the clipless vibe your having specialy on the freeride stuff..but clipless..once you go clipless it's going to be hard to go back to flats..had the same issue untill i made the choice to go full on clipless..just try it for 1 month only..you will find you have more control over the bike. i have the Crankbrothers Mallet E Pedals and it's kinda floaty, not like roadbike stiff. still have my freeride pro and impact 5/10 flat shoes but no more flatpadels.. have a great holiday whit paps. be safe.
@GabeGarcia11 ай бұрын
Yeah I’ve met people who say the same thing🧐I’m honestly curious to see how they feel but we’ll see if I make the leap😭 I usually ride my bike everywhere (parks, grocery store,) so having flats is easy to cruise with. Im sure you get use to the clipless setup as well over time

@@GabeGarcia yeah..well you got 2 bikes so try it on 1 bike..i also have 2 bikes first i started with my daily driver the hardtail, now both or clipless and sold the flats they where saint flats tall spikes.
