God's kind of love is agape (unconditional love). This is the love that is required in marriages otherwise the union just won't work or last the long haul.

The Bible only requires the husband to have agape love toward his wife. The wife is required to respect her husband and be submissive to his God-given position as the head of the family.

Either walk in flesh(I am capable of loving my spouse) or in spirit(God’s perfect love-joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, long-suffering, self control). My source of love cannot be my spouse. The only source that can fuel a lifetime of love is the Person who perfectly and powerfully loves my wife and myself. God will fill you with His love for your spouse. He will never stop loving nor believing in her.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work if you are with a narcissist. If you are a empath reading this. You most likely was love bombed by a narcissist. On the beginning they shower you with a ton of love and attention. Then all of a sudden their fake persona disappears and they find all this fault in you and begin to tear you down and devalue you. If you are a empath you are trying your best to love them unconditionally. Trying to regain their love and affection. You will never succeed. The narcissist will never give you the love you search foe. You fell in love with their fake persona. You weren’t any better than the ex. You just neme the narcissist new victim and narcissist reserve. They needed you to give them love attention, motivation and continual admiration. You will end up feeling empty and miserable. They will at moment show you love with gifts and kindness’s. Then turn right around and treat you like complete shit. Don’t get stuck in trauma bonding. Google it. Run away quickly.

This is hard, oh dear God this is hard. So much pain happened in our Marriage. To the point I got her arrested and a Protection Order against her. Her drinking was just destroying us. Now a year later, she has moved on and we are going through a Divorce. She's Sober and she is beautiful. Oh dear God she is beautiful! This is my Cross to carry. We have begun to talk again. She has a boyfriend. One night she came over to see if we still have Chemistry and we made Love. It was amazing and for her to. However she has her guard up now. I kiss her and she doesn't look at me. Dear God this hurts. However I told my Wife. My Source of Love is from God. No matter what, I am going to continue Loving you. I pray to God every night that she just comes home.
