I would suggest putting your cookbooks in that thin cabinet next to microwave. That way you can easily access them. But I love watching your videos.. I get so much inspiration.

Love all of your videos!! Maybe if you set a short wire shelf or short riser over that outlet above the microwave you wouldn’t lose so much storage space in that corner. Seems to be plenty of room above it that would then be useable without interfering with the cord, etc. You have a beautiful kitchen!!

Love this series, Megan. I took a car load of stuff to our recycling center yesterday. I did declutter our decorations, christmas and easter. I also took stuff to our local second hand place among other things a pepper shaker I’ve NEVER used but still held on too for 20 years 🤪 I still have the salt shaker that we actually use. Today my daughter is cleaning the house (we pay her for that) and maybe tomorrow I’ll start decorating for christmas (we don’t celebrate thanksgiving). I decluttered my dresser as you did your kitchen, I did actually find some thing to let go of, I didn’t think I would. I also reorganized some things ✨

I have a small coffee cabinet/station and i put a lazy Susan on one of the shelves with my coffee items and another one with mugs on a different shelf, so easy to access everything instead of having to move things to reach the ones in the back 😊

I would suggest for the cabinet above the microwave, you can get a riser shelf to put where the outlet is. This way that area can be left open while you can store items on top.

Love the coffee station setup and the clean supplies setup. I'm thinking for the blank wall a picture of your family, which you could decorate with xmas decor and seasonal decor for whatever the season or holiday is. Another is floating shelves. Perhaps 2 ❤

Definitely not floating shelves because our pantry door is right there, so this is a high traffic area…but a family photo might be nice 🤗

I organized my laundry room a few months ago. And it has actually stayed pretty good. It’s a catchall for a lot of things. I have all my vacuums, mops and our trash can. Plus a shelf for all the things that don’t have a home. I knocked something over today and it hit a small nail container. Which went all over the floor. So I had to pick them all up. Some might have went into the trash. Once I got the container closed I couldn’t open it to put the extra ones I found back in. Plus I was mad that I had to pick the whole thing up. My kitchen is organized okay. But I have cabinets in my dining room that I still haven’t cleaned out. You would flip out if you saw them. I have two hand mixers in one cabinet. I’m saving my old one to see if anyone in my family needs one. I bought a cordless one, which I love and use all the time. But they’re both Kitchenaid’s and they will last a long time. But I also have a lot of junk in the cabinets. I’m sure I could put most of it in our shed. I think I’ll buy some totes and fill them up. I use Fiestaware dishes, bowls and platters. They weigh a lot. So I try to put a few in the upper cabinets and heavier ones in the bottom. I have a cabinet over my refrigerator. I keep stuff on top of my frig. So I can’t really get into it. But it has cookie jars I don’t use, but don’t want to get rid of and a cake keeper that was my grandmother’s. Under my sink I organize all the time. I’m not the only one who gets in there so it doesn’t stay organized. My husband will put anything anywhere. And it goes way over by the drawers in my kitchen. So I keep rarely used things over there. We have a carpet cleaner. And the soap for it gets put way over there. I need to get some organizers for under there. Everything falls down and then I have to hunt for it. I do have my regular cleaning supplies in a tote thing so I can carry them around the house. Our dining room is off our kitchen. Next to our living room. And we have a small round table with four chairs. It goes out to our back porch and yard. We have the ugly vertical blinds. But they have held up for four and a half years with our dogs getting into them. Curtains don’t survive as well. I put curtains in our old house. They were a mess. So we’re keeping the ugly blinds. When you have dogs who may pee on things plastic blinds work better. I really need to get my whole house more organized. I did have it. But we just don’t have enough storage in this house to keep it that way. My guest bedroom furniture stores all my sheets, quilts and comforters. I try to give away all the ones I don’t use. But I have a few quilts that I love so those aren’t going anywhere. They probably should go to anyone who wants them.

If you can remove the a shelf or 2 out of the really narrow cabinet to the left of the microwave - that might be a nice spot to put your cookbooks so they're are easy to grab vs in a higher spot?

Hi Megan! We have switched from dishwasher machine tabs to dishwashing machine liquid. The combination of: do you throw the tab in the disher or stuff it in the trap door AND is the plastic getting stuck in the filter was the reason for the switch. We put the liquid in the trap door and squirt a little below so the dishes get some soap with the first rinse. Hope you had a great Halloween!

Mugs are so hard for me to declutter! I drink so much coffee and tea through out the day that people gift me mugs on the big holidays, and they're all so cute, but they sure take up a lot of space! In reality, I probably only use 8 of them, so I probably don't need to hold onto an extra 20 😅

I use earth products there natural and I've got sensitive skin and dont break out . I use it from cleaning products to laundry liquid. I'm in Australia so not sure if it's just local. I also use sukin for body products and handwash and you can get refills and keep the same container
