That plant is called ELEPHANT EARS - they grow from bulbs. Just cut or gently pull off the really yellowed leaves and keep it watered and it’ll be ok. Hopefully it’ll come back for years; I know Elephant Ears planted in the ground come back every year.

@@lovinglifeasmegan many people plant them in the ground - when it starts getting cold, they are cut back - the next spring they sprout again. If they are in a pot, yes they can be brought inside - they need BRIGHT light to survive as well.

Hi Megan!! I love love love your outdoor makeover videos! Hoping you don’t mind me making a suggestion…. If nobody has mentioned it yet, but to clean your porch, stairs, sidewalks, driveways and other flat areas like that… you need to get an attachment for your pressure washer called a “surface washer” they are a available on Amazon and all your local home improvement stores. Honestly you can’t do the flat cement surface areas without this attachment as it will take you forever just to get a very small area partially clean. You will notice a HUGE difference when using the surface cleaner attachment! There are videos on KZbin to show you how to use it! Hope this helps! Thank you for all your amazing content!

I do go get my nails done every month though and it really helps me. I also can’t stand gloves on my hands. My family does think I’m strange though because I go nuts whenever anyone touches my back. To protect your bench, get some car wax, and after the bench has been cleaned, wax it and it will keep it clean and rust free for a longer time. Hanging baskets need water morning and late afternoon...love the yard. That plant is a hosta, They are super easy to grow. When we trim bushes, we lay down an old shower curtain, and all the debris, fall on it, and can be put into a yard trash can or bag. Easy fast clean up.

It looks like you have a beautiful little Japanese Maple between the shrubs in the front. It's too bad it's kind of overshadowed by the overgrown shrubs as it makes a gorgeous focal point or highlight of your bed. If you look it up, it shouldn't be sheared like a hedge but selectively pruned.

The plants you planted on the side of the house are Hostas and they grow better in shaded areas. I found out the hard way, I planted lthem on both sides of our steps. One is huge and the other is half the size. Oh well, lol. We have them in other areas of our landscaping too, same thing happens depending on the sun vrs the shade.

No, you are not alone with sensory issues! I think everyone has "something" that makes their skin crawl. For my husband it is a particular fabric - that wind breaker material. He cannot stand the feel or sound of it. It literally twists him up inside if that happens LOL. On another note, the yard looks great! Very motivating to watch this, as we just bought a house and can't wait to get our landscaping going.

Love your yard. You and your hubby make a great team 💗💗💗 Love Meg Fragrance water not so much. It caused me to have an asthma attack and migraine and it caused my pets to have sneezing fits. The plant behind the basil is an elephant ear! It’s one of my favorite plants! Elephant ears love water! The plant u have in the front that’s peeking through is a hosta. Depending on light and water it can stunt them from popping up when others do. They are almost like little bulbs under ground that shoot out the roots for the plant. Being that ur other hosta came up, this one should thrive too but may take a bit to establish those solid roots underground. Also! As they get bigger each year u can dig them up and split them to make more plants for ur yard.

Cut the green shrubbery down to about knee heigh in the spring. It is way overgrown. It will grow back lower to the ground where it should be. Do no cut the red Japanese maple. It is planted between the windows as a small tree. Don’t make it into a lollipop. It has a beautiful shape if left alone. The hinoiki cypress was pretty by the mailbox but is history now. It was one of the nicest shrubs you had.

I've read that the first ingredient of the Love Meg product is fragrance/perfume, which means that's the main ingredient. Is it true that that's listed first? Because if so, I'm sure it smells great, but that's what room spray is for. A multi-purpose cleanser (especially one that retails for $8 per bottle) should have quality cleansing ingredients as the objective of the product.

So I’m having mixed feelings on trying it. Price doesn’t bother me I think a tad high but everyone has to remember she is not a giant company lol she is a family owned business and so I’m sure she has to pay a pretty penny just having it made. My husband laughs at me but I cannot touch lunch meat. He has to make all of the Sandwiches cause I can’t stand it and I’ve been like that since I was young. So I can relate lol. We also have very similar grass so I’m excited to see how growing yours goes!!

I know a lot of people who struggle to touch cold cuts and raw meat. You are definitely not alone in that. 😊

Wow great work again !! You've had so much old plant to toss haha I'm glad you've filmed that part ! I was hopping you'll had regular trash bags to toss in there too while having the outdoor trash can next to the door since we never see this in cleaning videos :P

So glad you’re back. Pressure washing really is difficult. It’s also dangerous. Wear solid shoes. If that spray hits your skin it will rip it open. Don’t ask how I know that! Lol. I don’t like the feel of dirt or gloves either. Lol. A lot of work. But it looks so so good. I’m excited for the next one.

The suet cakes are for winter. It has a lot of fat to help t h e birds stay warm. Sometimes they will melt if you use them in the summer!

Great job.Have you guys thought of using polymeric sand to lock those pavers in and maybe it will keep weeds out for a bit? Looking forward to outcome

I can definitely relate. I have to wear gloves because I can't stand the feel of dirt or anything outside. I can't wear nail polish either, I don't like the way it makes my nails feel. Like you said it's like they are suffocating. Good job on your yard.

I'm not sure if someone else mentioned it, but if you push polymeric sand into the patio paver cracks it will really inhibit weed growth. Polymeric basically has a little bit of glue that activates when you wet so it turns into a grout like seal. It's not hard to do and might be something you'd like the end result of.

We decided not to do that because we DIYed the patio, so it’s not perfectly level or graded
