-5mm hook -30g/1 oz of yarn Hat: 1- magic circle, ch 2, 12 dc in loop, sl st (12) 2- ch 2, 2 dc in each st, sl st(24) 3- ch 2, 2 dc, increase (repeat until end of row), sl st (32) 4- ch 2, 3 dc, increase( repeat until end of row), sl st (40) 5- ch 2, dc 19, increase X 2, sl st (42) 6,7 +8- ch 2, dc all the way around(42) 9-ch 1, hdc all the way at round in 3rd loop ( at the back of the stitch), sl st(42) 14:35 10-ch 1, hdc all the way around in 3rd loop, sl st(42) 11-ch 1, sc all the way around in 3rd loop, sl st (42) Cut yarn and weave in tail Ears: (X2) 1-magic ring, ch 1, 10 hdc in loop, sl st(10) 2- ch 1, 2 hdc in each st, sl st (20) 3- ch 1, sc in each st, sl st (20) Cut yarn leaving long end Sew on hat between rows 2-3 Finished!

Thank you so much for this video! So the ears lay flatter against the edge I only crocheted in 9 stitches for round 2. I left stitch 10 blank and it made a nice curved edge to attach to the beanie.

Sometimes I use a larger hook and that will make it larger. And maybe baby. Sports yarn will make it larger as well. Hope this helps!

Great, she used medium weight yarn #4. I googled what the equivalent of that is and they said 10 ply so I thought my 8 ply yarn is close enough but noooo now I've a beanie which can probably only fit a doll's head 😂

I just made one for my almost 6 month old. After row 5 I did 22 dc and then 2 dc and then about 22 more and then 2 dc when I came to the end. I’m not an expert so it wasn’t perfect, had 50 stitches after… But then I just continued her tutorial just the same and it turned out so great!

Does anyone else’s pattern on the last rows appear on the inside of the hat instead of the outside? I’ve been noticing lately that my patterned stitches will be on the opposite side compared to the tutorial videos 😭😭 I don’t know where I’m going wrong.

You are working on the 'wrong' side of the work. Keep your tail end on to weave in at the end and while you are crocheting keep it facing you. In the case of this hat you want it to be inside the hat as you are working on it. A saying some use is "keep the worm in the bowl" lol. I know this a late reply but hope that helps
