the entire country appreciates her, i hope she knows that. The problem with India is that every Olympics we don't have many athletes representing our country because people here aren't professionally trained or don't have resources. This year however a lot more people turned up than ever and won more medals than ever. A turning point for sure. It's people like them who inspire kids to take up sports as a profession and bring pride to our country. To those who ended up in Podium or didn't win a medal, it's never easy to even participate at the Olympics. As long we people dont learn that, not just Siddhu, there are other sports stars who came up from villages with lot of economic difficulties and won medals for the nation. Meerabhai Chanu won Silver in weight lifting, Lovlina won Bronze in boxing ( she came from a village where there are no roads). But they are not receiving appreciation or gifts from state CMs or from business Tycoons. The reason is we people not appreciating them to the level to get popularity for them to attract gifts from CMs and business tycoons. But Siddhu getting far more than what she deserves.
