Low budget terrace transformation

Today we decided to give the terrace in our Italian holiday villa a cheap makeover, and the results were excellent! It was important for us to be able to use as much of the house as possible during the renovation, especially over the summer.

Terrace looks great, much better than before. You really leapt right into the work needed! Could you re-hang the doors the other way so they open inward rather than out - as a temporary measure until you do the kitchen. Does your terrace drain work properly? Otherwise I presume the terrace would be like a paddling pool in a rainstorm or when snow melts. Looking forward to the next project.

I’m only 58years young and as you know you inspired me I WILL be taking the leap one for the quality of life but I want my sons to have something I put sweat in it ,they are 36,and 29 all my life I’ve been a care taker for others from the time I was six so starting late in life is just the perceptions of what people put on you ,started driving which I love at 45 so and went skydiving at 50 also want to do it again so thank you and you’re younge beautiful family .and you don’t realize but someone that my children tell me to tell people I’m off the grid but I discover you tube which is my world of learning good with my hands and not afraid to work don’t miss phones,don’t have one nor do I need it for now, unless I’m over sea, so you my dear teacher I thank you and yes it came out beautiful, I WILL be looking forward to my next lesson no pressure just so grateful,your Videos do matter,maybe shaving under the door may help🤷🏻‍♀️ stay safe you and the family🌈🌻✌️👍🏻🙏🏼

Welcome back! Your fans were getting worried as well as going thru Reno withdrawal! The terrace looks great! Good idea. If you shave the bottom of the bathroom door, you’ll be able to fit the tiles. Please don’t be in a hurry to raze the terrace bathroom. You’ll definitely want a toilet on that level of house. It’ll be easier if your gf is in kitchen and little one needs help in bathrm If you have guests on the terrace, you don’t want people going through your bedroom to use facilities. Trust me... you’ll want a toilet on that level!. ... Still amazed how much you accomplish in a day! Have you thought of a pulley system so you don’t have to carry supplies up all those stairs? Just a thought.

Awe that was adorable. The little cutie wanted to help daddy and was using his water gun. Priceless! 🥰 Those pallets are a great idea, if any of them get ruined for some reason, you can easily swap them out. Can always spray some in advance before storing so they match up when replaced. Terrace looks huge now, nice and clean, what a great space! Am sure it is going to get a lot of use. 👍 Do you play chess or checkers? Maybe some day you can play a live version on your new board. 😉
