As you have shown, there are a lot of very good and inexpensive DE razors to choose from. My favorite is still the 6S. But many new DE shavers would be turned off by the higher price. Safety razors like the 78R will give them a great shave for a much lower price than safety razors like the 34C, the Henson, the Twig, etc. Then they can go down the rabbit hole to find their perfect safety razor.

I gave parker a shot with the 99r, super aggressive was turned away because of it gave parker another shot bought the 78r now its one of my favorite razors also like the parker semi slant and today i received the parker variant which i cant wait to try, keep those awesome videos coming!

I have my Merkur 23c and an aggressive razor for when I feel like using it. And yes, I do have sensitive skin. Add the Parker 78 R to that list. I got the Parker 78 R today through Amazon. Your review of the Parker 78 R 🔸IS SPOT ON🔸 After I got it and cleaned it up from shipping, I threw in my standard Gillette Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack Blade from India in it and started to shave. Holy Cow!! That razor (the 78 R) is so much smoother and more efficient than my Merkur 23 c!! Wow!!😳😳😲😲 I didn't expect that at all!!! Very clean, close, comfortable shave...I did my normal 3 pass shave. You can't get a better shave than that for under $27 Dollars! The Gillette Wilkinson Sword Blades from India will surprise you...they are very good...Ken Surfs and Paul H Films got me to use that blade.. They're right in their review of the blade.. That's the only blade I use specifically after trying dozens of other blades... Under 10 cents a blade works well with the budget too!!

That’s awesome! The more affordable great-shaving razors, the better! I’ve been impressed with Parker’s bang for the buck since I tried my 1st Parker razor(the Variant). I’m not a fan of their TTO razors, but I don’t care for any TTO razors, I’m a 3-piece kinda guy. I’m also a fan of their standard closed-comb head, it shaves like a Muhle R89 head (my favorite closed-comb head), but it costs less. It’s lines aren’t as sexy as the R89 head, it’s more angular like a stealth fighter, but it’s got it where it counts.

@@OhioShaves The Razorock old type is about the same cost as the parker 78r . Only difference is its an Open comb mild but efficient. Italian Barber is here in Ontario Canada. I was going to try the Parker variant but after watching your vid on it I changed my mind. Thanks for that!

Hey ohio shaves thanks for the video. I had to take a month from wet shaving for my razor burn and bumps to clear up on my head. I purchased this razor and used it today and it was great. I'm sure my technique was part of the problem and I cold shave now. A cold shave a new technique and I'm back in the game. Your videos are very helpful. I think I like this over my merkur 34c. It's far more efficient. It's mild but not aggressive.

You may like their slant razor or their adjustable. The slant was affordable and if I take my time gives a wonderful shave. Unfortunately most mornings, I am rushing so it sits in the medicine cabinet.

Dave the day you went to air on Parker 78R it was so compelling I immediately purchased a 78R, I'm still waiting for it to arrive 3 MONTHS later. I emailed Howie a month ago. I'm still waiting for a reply. I went to their website, customer service says go to their retail dealer. Howdy retailer how do I go about getting the razor or getting my money back. Ohio Shaves hey brother! I have a starter Van Der Hagen one. It is also low profile and known as a mild razor. I so far enjoy it paired with the shave gel I use for straight razor lining and the shave soap. I don't mind the beginner scale of the razor at all because my experience is that in the end results of my neck and bald head is that great pampered feeling without any irritation whatsoever. So my question is would you say suggesting that the razor paired with some of the Gillette Platinum blades (I ordered) would make for a better shave??

This is the first razor i bought. I just get cuts and nicks and not a close shave at all. I shave at a 30 degree angle and i dont push down on the razor, i krt the weight of the razor dp all the work. I use proraso shave cream and soap and and a shaving brush, but i get a closer shave with a electric razor and thats not even a close shave either.
