Operating the pwm freq. at around 308Hz is very audible..& noisy...it will be less noiser above (16-18)kHz ..and the 358 will be able to handle it.

@@evilgamers561for higher pwm freq. .... reduce the value of capacitor on pin2 of ic 1A (4n7/5n6(F)) to 1nF..this will increase the frequency by (4.7to 5.6) times to( 1200-1500)Hz...further higher freq.can achieve by reducing value of 1M Ohm res. to 100k Ohm or lower 50k Ohm( also connected to 4n7/5n6 cap @ one end & 10k Ohm @ other end..)...this will now brong freq. up to( 1M÷100k) =10 times or (1M÷50k)=20 times.... i.e. up from (1200/1500)Hz to (12/15)kHz or (24/30)kHz....all values approx. , depending on actual component values and precise formulae..used..

Soft start is only effective at power on..good especially if speed pot is left at some non zero setting....a ramp up/dn can also be useful...that helps whenever the pot direction is changed...
