What a wonderful Father's Day/Birthday celebration! When you're measuring your cocoa for the cake 4 tablespoons is 1/4 cup, I find it easier to measure it that way myself. I love that cake but I make a peanut butter version of it which for peanut butter fanatics like me...pure heaven! 😉

I have a pan like that and it still cooks good. Someone told me to cover the bottom with baking soda and then put white vinegar and let sit for awhile. I did that and it worked [somewhat] but it didn't work as good as before.

Leslie I want to tell you a couple good secrets and hacks that I do you know when you started out with your chocolate instead of putting it in a regular pot use your stand mixer Bowl put that in over a water bath melt your chocolate that way and then you don't have to dirty so many dishes I've been doing that since I started my little small baking business a couple years ago until covid and then but I still do that even if I have to melt butter and sugar it makes my life so much easier and also use a piece of parchment paper to measure out all your dry ingredients and the same thing instead of wasting all those bowls I have a friend that is a retired pastry chef and he was telling me the same thing he did it and it made him his life so much easier because none of his dry ingredients flew all over the kitchen and he also had bought a splash guard for his KitchenAid mixer what a godsend please try all those easy to do hacks I also wanted to know if I ever wanted to send you paper copies of some of my favorite recipes how would I do it I sent a lot of recipes cheese at Mandy in the making and I just send them to her PO box and I also want to tell you that I also started watching Bryant sermons I really truly enjoy them and we are starting our VBS the 24th through the 28th and I look forward to it every single year and also Leslie I would like you to answer me only if possible it would be greatly appreciated

Happy to have you here today. I do make this recipe, and yes, we do call it Texas sheet cake. I must ask you if you have a special reason that you don’t wear an apron. My grandmother trained us to always wear an apron. Unless your baking sheet is aluminum and is stainless, it is ok to use. It is when a baking sheet or pan is aluminum and is badly stained, rusted, or dented that is should be tossed. It can cause neurological issues as well as tetanus. So being a nurse, I know you know all that.
