People have done that to me. I made a few blunders which lead to a king + rook + 2 pawns vs my king. They promoted both the pawns instead of taking the M1 on the previous turn so I consider that an absolute win

@shane nice if an enemy pawn moves through a space your pawn can attack, you can move your pawn to the space they moved through, taking their pawn. it's very niche and doesn't come up often, so whenever you get the opportunity you should do it

@@jabob6651 moving the pawn doesn't matter. The white pawn right next to it keeps the king on the back rank. Black's rooks are also on the back rank, so I don't see this mate in 2 you're talking about.
