Hard pass on it being stamina instead of Attack however it's still a good Beyblade.

Glide bit weakness is it's low friction which can easily be stadium out with strong atks. That bit will do nicely with heavy bey to compensate with it's low friction while gaining better spin and stamina.

I just realized that we went from plastic gen inspired beys to MFB. Before we had a balance type Tiger bey, attack type left spin dragon literally named dragoon, and a defense type turtle. Now we have an attack type Pegasus, defense type lion bey, and a stamina type Phoenix bey, just like MFB.

i think the reason phoenix is a stamina type now is bc all the other phoenixes from other generations were attack, balance, and defense. maybe TT wanted it to be all 4 types rather than keep it with being an attack type? (idk about metal fight that much, so if im wrong im not surprised, just please dont come for my head if im wrong lol)

I think the interesting bench mark tests for it would be Colbalt Dragoon Phoenix Wing And Wizard Rod I also think Glide could be really good on Wyvern Gale. Rudder (it's also mad confusing if you guys seen, TT or the Beyblade (Japan) Team have been calling it Phoenix Ladder but the box says Phoenix Rudder 😅) could be good with a Point bit, DB, or Dot.

I think the reason they changed it to a stamina type was so all 4 of the auspicious beast beys matched in type to the OGs. On another note the return of POM is great. Hoping to get more POM tips

The reason it has more gears isnt to make it go faster on the line, its to allow the bit itself to be larger for more contact with the ground and its POM.

I think the only L in this set is really just sphinx, on top of it being weak and useless, it released in a random booster select, so getting a recolor of sphinx is already cheaper than buying this set. Wyvern on the other hand only got reprinted one other time and even the yellow one isn't cheap. this might be a hot take but the wyvern for the blade alone is a w. And it looks cool.

The type changes may be a MFB reference. Leon Crest > Defense for Rock Leone. Phoenix Rudder -> Stamina for Burn Phoenix. Aero Pegasus obv Pegasus. Whale Wave > Grand Cetus, not defense type but similar motif (esp with the white and black alternates like the anime). It'd be neat if Viper switched to Balance for Poison Serpent.

Can't wait to see 30, 40 and 50 height ratchets. I want attack types to actually do their job without relying solely on the extreme line and high-positioned recoil points. I want upper attacks and more frequent bursts.

If you look at the back of a Beyblade X product's package, you'll see that 60 is the second shortest height for ratchets out of the 5 height variations. 50 will be the shortest and 90 will be the highest.

Because height plays a huge role in Bey X, then i hope the next shortest rachet may avoid being a scrape fest. I don't remember much on the Burst side, aside from Vice Leopard's ring issue which killed it's stamina by scraping due to Destroy driver's aggresive nature. But back in Metal Fight when they introcude a spin track lower than 90 which is 85 it became a problem where it scrapes the floor alot even when using rather tall performance tips.
